LOL</p><p>I finally feel as if I'm back on track. You know, because we're almost through the first two months of the year!</p><p>My first goal was to get caught up on swap cards for the Missouri Stamp Group I belong to. I'm determined to stay on track this year. I was behind on December, January then this month so I have three cards to show you today.</p><p>All of the cards used the same technique: stenciling with my new 5x7 Geli plate. I don't remember who's video I first saw the idea but she was using her geli plate to HOLD her papers in place while she worked with them, NOT as a base for applying ink or paint. When I saw the video I immediately went in and ordered the 5x7 from Spectrum Art Creations. Keep in mind, I have a large one that hardly ever sees the light of day... twice, maybe, since I bought it almost 12 years ago. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQKURypkLRaoq7nU24n-U1PGTprlGL2QF8bIpICeYlkRFxjQ0PQbFGUjVSn9PjcLWwBlsBb_n3Y-uV2KP4pTmRxU1am71htU7K9-YLYn3wRRQMLq5grV3mTb4IKHRPuMWxR_tdJdfEvmgELLtLfopTbA_0UrPHYRqsPAb0YTyD6bdsPhTkWP8orDgcF7a2/s582/5%20x%207%20geli%20press.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="582" data-original-width="451" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQKURypkLRaoq7nU24n-U1PGTprlGL2QF8bIpICeYlkRFxjQ0PQbFGUjVSn9PjcLWwBlsBb_n3Y-uV2KP4pTmRxU1am71htU7K9-YLYn3wRRQMLq5grV3mTb4IKHRPuMWxR_tdJdfEvmgELLtLfopTbA_0UrPHYRqsPAb0YTyD6bdsPhTkWP8orDgcF7a2/s320/5%20x%207%20geli%20press.jpg" width="248" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click <b><a href="https://www.spectrumartcreations.com/shop/c/p/Gel-Press-Gel-Plate-5X7-x51749496.htm" target="_blank">HERE </a></b>to purchase</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">All three stencils were purchased from Spectrum Art Creations. He knows my passion lol</p><p>Here's my desk this morning:</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic5bVdkVpCJfgLhSq1xnLvBqZctBmTcJMTMKxgNHx2LX1flLbnpGEt3FEW5RyhiBRAwcP0yWGY4_XM5WEQZeJaTkp9Qj2fM5ITvEV2Zj98i80nCStdTMovV3dMvY8WPXxBbKtRHLoNYBZ89yULWfJ_GtxDazLSGrW-3hKvJvt1GMJNilgrlgUD_3yrMEfS/s640/IMG_3873.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic5bVdkVpCJfgLhSq1xnLvBqZctBmTcJMTMKxgNHx2LX1flLbnpGEt3FEW5RyhiBRAwcP0yWGY4_XM5WEQZeJaTkp9Qj2fM5ITvEV2Zj98i80nCStdTMovV3dMvY8WPXxBbKtRHLoNYBZ89yULWfJ_GtxDazLSGrW-3hKvJvt1GMJNilgrlgUD_3yrMEfS/s320/IMG_3873.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I took a course a couple of weeks ago called 'Your Path Forward'. The concept is built on a game board strategy of choosing one project you want to accomplish, then breaking the big picture down into small steps that create a 'domino effect' - meaning you can't do this step until you do this step.... and so on. What steps need to be taken to get from Point A - The Beginning to Point B - The Finish? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I created a game board on an 11 x 14 canvas using the game board from the workbook as a template. The inspirational sayings in each square are from the Tim Holtz set - Noteworthy. I simply typed them into my word program, sized to fit inside the game board squares then printed on clear sticker paper. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I've put the steps I need (one for each square on the board) onto sticky notes and have them on my KanBan board. The game board is a colorful visual for my desk.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I'm uploading a video for this now and will be on my <b><a href="https://youtu.be/0v7gcUv43To" target="_blank"><span style="color: red;">AUTHOR YouTube </span></a></b>channel about noon CST US. </div><p>If you have a project you can't seem to start, I highly recommend this course. You can use the concept over and over again so it isn't just a one and done kind of course. </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: center;">That's it for my desk (and story)

I spent my morning at the dining room table with Bob playing cards and Yahtzee.</p><p>There really isn't much to tell on my desk but I did have to clear everything off after I took the picture so I could film my premiere video for Friday (2-9-24)</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhva1YipwU20_r2jsfo3HlwblErUTx7HIY3HWbGYt5u0sa45DMJFoplm4Y2tJsyzp_TuuNOXtl3i7uH7CYL3RpUkqmWKwjkb4jhwgBoXAoBaSR-bvbDbdGOL_iknUWCUTohQ7hPShAwJydS8u5RvFBjmQ9lB5OiSRcskw48Yj3b4lYYfJdziKXdHHtsq2g/s640/766.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhva1YipwU20_r2jsfo3HlwblErUTx7HIY3HWbGYt5u0sa45DMJFoplm4Y2tJsyzp_TuuNOXtl3i7uH7CYL3RpUkqmWKwjkb4jhwgBoXAoBaSR-bvbDbdGOL_iknUWCUTohQ7hPShAwJydS8u5RvFBjmQ9lB5OiSRcskw48Yj3b4lYYfJdziKXdHHtsq2g/w400-h300/766.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The pouch with the scissors inside holds scissors/ adhesives when I'm working anyplace other than the filming table on projects. Even found one in teal. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you'd like to have the opportunity to chat live or see what I got in a Spectrum Art Creations haul this week, I will be in a chat room alongside <b><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@KellysCreativeDreams" target="_blank">my YouTube video</a></b> on Friday 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. EST. I think that time allows for at least some of my friends across the pond and in Canada to join in. Set your timer and come chat. I'm only there for a little over 15 minutes so don't be late! Otherwise, the video will always be available on replay. </div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: center;">That's it for my desk (and story)

I'd planned to use a card kit from Hunky Dory only to discover the 'kit' was only card bases... not all of the elements.</p><p>Of course, last weekend was Bob's first one home so I didn't do any crafting to have anything ready for today. </p><p>Here is the card bases/ envelopes I ordered from Spectrum Art Creations, with the intention of pulling items from other papers. They bring products in from all over the world and offer the best prices you'll find anywhere! Also, if you don't see what you're looking for in their store either on-line or Etsy, just send them an email and they'll do their best to find it. If you love something, others probably will, too!</p><p>This is Bob's first full week home but I've talked to him about a working schedule for me so we'll see how that goes this week. No post tomorrow but I should be back Wednesday for WOYWW. I missed participating last week nor did I accomplish much in the way of tasks on the office. If I remember right now, I curled up with a book I needed to post a review on for my author channel. I hope to be more regular with postings from here on out. </p><p><span style="color: #ff00fe; font-size: medium;"><b><i>Creative Blessings!</i></b></span></p><p><span style="color: #ff00fe; font-size: medium;"><b><i>~ Kelly</i></b></span></p><p><br /></p>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01895657809745769069noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5510354110304743525.post-2951402416750664242024-01-29T12:22:00.000-06:002024-01-29T12:22:00.759-06:00MAKE IT- MAIL IT MONDAY! Plus Bonus items!<p> Hi everyone!</p><p>I finally got to spend all day yesterday creating! Felt good to play with stuff again.</p><p>I took part in the <b><span style="color: #674ea7;">TEA CHALLENG</span></b>E in the Spectrum Art Creations FB group. Did you know, January is National Tea Month? </p><p>I chose mostly items from Stamperia to work with, predominately from their Alice line.</p><p>I rice paper sheet with four teapots from the Alice collection started it all... so I made 4 different items. Each piece enters me into a drawing for a $5 GC from the <b><a href="https://www.spectrumartcreations.com/" target="_blank">Spectrum Art Creations on-line store</a></b>.</p><p>We were required to use a minimum of three items on each piece we made.</p><p>Since this is Make It - Mail It Monday, let's start with the card I made for a friend:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwlX7sNc2WpoQlLfTuJ2s86JKmyEJfUVo9pniZIa_RcIuZxdUW07276wHPZlFHDUDIU1eT5b7fV4aUgKIr28D6ZEHcfFZjUrKx9HKWvBOLICLqlXZTeybEAnzhilk6ifKumeT0iPriOyxbTTvOVMNCiTAqUph73g7zifVN6FVXWiFyrDH-rPegWKY70EAM/s443/card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="443" data-original-width="358" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwlX7sNc2WpoQlLfTuJ2s86JKmyEJfUVo9pniZIa_RcIuZxdUW07276wHPZlFHDUDIU1eT5b7fV4aUgKIr28D6ZEHcfFZjUrKx9HKWvBOLICLqlXZTeybEAnzhilk6ifKumeT0iPriOyxbTTvOVMNCiTAqUph73g7zifVN6FVXWiFyrDH-rPegWKY70EAM/s320/card.jpg" width="259" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used a Merry Merlot card base with a Very Vanilla mat (Stampin' Up!) then used one of the rice paper panels on top of the mat. I've been doing author work this morning so running a tad behind. </p><p>Here's what I'm tackling today:</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUVAi522oSnB7frQiTg7jZL4EAy1nwgZBG7HyZzJajlmCcpnAgxWdKkfmngKbCm81DAUHhsB3NOZ7WE6Ut0Np366MFq-F6mzS7qxibgBGxq1EBGTPOsp2kW_JuFn__tPjBnvzQ75g2VYGk80LPDTrFPNpLeqknUdVI56omdYTXvT_IYlDYWIG6EPe6TXk2/s640/IMG_E3749.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUVAi522oSnB7frQiTg7jZL4EAy1nwgZBG7HyZzJajlmCcpnAgxWdKkfmngKbCm81DAUHhsB3NOZ7WE6Ut0Np366MFq-F6mzS7qxibgBGxq1EBGTPOsp2kW_JuFn__tPjBnvzQ75g2VYGk80LPDTrFPNpLeqknUdVI56omdYTXvT_IYlDYWIG6EPe6TXk2/w400-h300/IMG_E3749.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As you can see, I've not put some of the things away that were there last week and added to the collection. LOL </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The rub ons and the stencil were from last week. The red pile of rubble in the back is a candle pedestal I need to glue. Silly me tried moving the cart with the hot cocoa bar items and one of the pedestals hit the floor. No worries.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I've also added one of those finger cutting blades to my list of supplies. I see planner peeps using them and they appear quite handy. The Stampin Up stamps in the back are possibly for a future project so I pulled them out while I could find them.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I hope to have more progress and pretties to show next week.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Before I go, I have a question. Do you tend to buy things you already have because you either can't find them or forget you have them?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If your answer is yes, I invite you to my premiere on <b><a href="https://www.youtube.com/@KellysCreativeDreams" target="_blank">my YouTube channel</a></b> Friday the 26th at 11:30 a.m. EST US. I'll let you figure out all the conversions. Friday's video is by request from one of my subscribers where I will be talking about how I know what's in my studio. Mind you, that wasn't always the case! LOL. I will be in the chat while the video runs so if you have questions or comments I'll be there.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: center;">That's it for my desk (and story)
this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?
When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to

I'm finally seeing myself back into a routine. </p><p>I've discovered as I get older, that cold, gloomy days are not conducive to me accomplishing much. I even went back to bed for an hour yesterday morning before I attempted to accomplish anything. Something, that with the exception of a few minor household tasks, I failed miserably.</p><p>The studio is back to the UGLY stage again. No, I'm not going to show a picture. I'm still trying to figure out how I went from my beautiful empty sofa for Halloween to the UGLY chaos again. But I'll get there.</p><p>This week is all about putting things away that are in front of me. I'm using Sarra Cannon's HB90 system to do two things. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1LJrG671sb1aV0okEJyaECFLtwx5VPRP8kqpjxBP1qTTavw0O7nTltFXoMbOCX9yJG6l3e7ImxEyZiVX6CeQXxvLYRYd4kftQzc8teoIcrs-9gXDo0WlzUN0m634J_2Fj1FlTDEPi0qtdlzQjc6OwXljutr3rAp3uUwVQXBMUUyF6MRj1iN8U6OiTVhiV/s640/egg-timer-154763_640.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="531" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1LJrG671sb1aV0okEJyaECFLtwx5VPRP8kqpjxBP1qTTavw0O7nTltFXoMbOCX9yJG6l3e7ImxEyZiVX6CeQXxvLYRYd4kftQzc8teoIcrs-9gXDo0WlzUN0m634J_2Fj1FlTDEPi0qtdlzQjc6OwXljutr3rAp3uUwVQXBMUUyF6MRj1iN8U6OiTVhiV/s320/egg-timer-154763_640.png" width="266" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>1 - Set tasks that will move me towards the goal of having a workable space again<p></p><p>2 - Use the Pomodoro timer method to work on each task. </p><p>The Pomodoro method is doing things in 25-minute increments. Take a 5-minute break then dive back in for another 25. You can do this as many times as you want and they can be done on and off throughout the day. If you only have 25 minutes to work on something, so you only get that 1 task done. That's still progress.</p><p>That's my plan for today. Seeing how many of those 25-minute sprints I can get done until there is less chaos.</p><p>I'll be back tomorrow to show you progress for WOYWW</p><p><b><span style="color: #ff00fe; font-size: medium;">Creative Blessings!</span></b></p><p><b><span style="color: #ff00fe; font-size: medium;">~Kelly</span></b></p>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01895657809745769069noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5510354110304743525.post-68888452366155962032024-01-10T08:43:00.001-06:002024-01-10T08:43:13.210-06:00WOYWW 762<p> Happy New Year, friends!</p><p>I've missed you all but I've just been really busy. <br />I took November off from all things creative except to finish the draft of Book 2 in my series. Then December was all about decluttering the three main rooms of the house to surprise Bob when he came home on the 22nd. He was home for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years in 2023. We will celebrate Christmas after the new year next time around as he will be working for Christmas. I really wanted our big tree with the family ornaments up but I just ran out of steam.</p><p>I'm back in the studio, which is my decluttering focus for the next 21 days as well as back to work on blog posts, FB and YouTube (I'll have my first premiere of 2024 this Friday at 11 a.m. EST).</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuCwG_ylUTix_86ayis7QvNknfHdQFcF4VtMgwQBhfBmYj5JhTtZdA8Zr2OwZIqT7iUZiIkDWZXAOZURZj0zRSVQJIej1EczscXha2wC8ImcmvIcN2FcACSIeV6d2pXB-F9GwCmJ8NZ4cHJNNd7VMx26iHaAhuaNgH-pbda90GBUiynMFLfqZbCAASO8Nh/s640/762.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuCwG_ylUTix_86ayis7QvNknfHdQFcF4VtMgwQBhfBmYj5JhTtZdA8Zr2OwZIqT7iUZiIkDWZXAOZURZj0zRSVQJIej1EczscXha2wC8ImcmvIcN2FcACSIeV6d2pXB-F9GwCmJ8NZ4cHJNNd7VMx26iHaAhuaNgH-pbda90GBUiynMFLfqZbCAASO8Nh/w400-h300/762.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I did do a little crafting in December and lots of things just landed on the filming table. I have been battling sinus' all weekend, trying to get stuff done AND get words written on the book. I'm draggin' here LOL</p><p>I have to work through this. We are to have temps in the uppers 70s and DRY (which may account for my sinus issues) so my plan is to empty out the warehouse and start over as much as I can. I figure if I can get the crafting side organized then Bob can help with the trees when he gets home. We have several Christmas trees plus I have three Halloween trees that didn't even come out this year because I can't get to them.</p><p>I'll show before & after pictures. </p><p>I did get most of the work table cleared (you saw that last Wednesday). I'm hoping to finish that this week as well.... AND STILL put new words to the book. </p><p>So what I thought I would do is randomly pick a photo from a very early post. So I'll leave you with this card....</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyX-8ipy8cVf2O28hbZmqJ0-rN60Tl9CjyV-vlj0P10bDQjwnOstAtO2dQpWUJt2pNP9Mhrplvn7KUFV-S-Lo1ATHE7WeHZBYNbM9Fx5G9_W2rcwaaApdOUmzCnCXdA_alBDQdOKBybVcb6WVzqP3UPClJgtVw7bSMNJQv823JchOKlrQIBz1UiSerrceP/s300/CCC11%20Jan..jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="300" data-original-width="225" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyX-8ipy8cVf2O28hbZmqJ0-rN60Tl9CjyV-vlj0P10bDQjwnOstAtO2dQpWUJt2pNP9Mhrplvn7KUFV-S-Lo1ATHE7WeHZBYNbM9Fx5G9_W2rcwaaApdOUmzCnCXdA_alBDQdOKBybVcb6WVzqP3UPClJgtVw7bSMNJQv823JchOKlrQIBz1UiSerrceP/s1600/CCC11%20Jan..jpg" width="225" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="color: red; font-size: medium;"><b><i>Creative Blessings!</i></b></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="color: red; font-size: medium;"><b><i>~Kelly</i></b></span></div><br /><p><br /></p>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01895657809745769069noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5510354110304743525.post-59679303072077330912023-11-01T07:46:00.005-05:002023-11-01T07:46:39.786-05:00WOYWW #752<p>Good morning, friends!</p><p>I woke up to 23*F this morning.... for the third day in a row! September turned into an 'unplanned' busy month. I spent two weekends back to back in Springfield. One for a sister day and planner weekend and another for a long 2-day visit with my daughter. We had not sat down and really visited in almost 10 years!!! We were way overdue and had a good time. Come back Wednesday for WOYWW and I'll share pics!</p><p>While October is going to be just as busy, with my HB90 planner and my Kanban board set up, I'm ready! I can conquer the world when I plan for it! LOL</p><p>Here is today's card:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7XDU_e_NYEpX6Gs-OFVJEa7lkU4vmaYbDFz1nQfcZqXQEuTgimu7kyCxfdhFmY6yBe5IvMz_Geo266beF9TWTAyWy_WUVPkhyphenhyphentTGZFjwnAWkkWAh_Gishi64rH7i_LsfJDtl0TrhgTSTBuelbuc4RiHje0kq-UARcA8H4qiGxcXq4LIdyH6CM8dp51Ufm/s562/IMG_3061.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="562" height="273" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7XDU_e_NYEpX6Gs-OFVJEa7lkU4vmaYbDFz1nQfcZqXQEuTgimu7kyCxfdhFmY6yBe5IvMz_Geo266beF9TWTAyWy_WUVPkhyphenhyphentTGZFjwnAWkkWAh_Gishi64rH7i_LsfJDtl0TrhgTSTBuelbuc4RiHje0kq-UARcA8H4qiGxcXq4LIdyH6CM8dp51Ufm/s320/IMG_3061.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">You're going to see Halloween cards every week this month. I have lots of witchy goodness to share with friends!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This is a bridge card. I learned this super simple technique in the SACs Academy. What is SACs Academy? I'll link that video down below. Trust me... if you like to learn new things and play with products from all over the world - or just be inspired to use your own stash - SACs Academy is the place you want to be. There are lots of other perks, too. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">You can see a video with all the information about SACs Academy <b><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://youtu.be/OkbnD5Pr4NQ?si=pWrhC9ysJaghqqG0" target="_blank">HERE</a></span></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The original class used an embossed panel for the center backdrop. After doing the sample, I pulled out my Midnight Tales from Graphic 45 and went to work. I upped the game by fussy cutting a second witch (I have 2 complete kits of this retired series) and popped her up on a wobble.. when I shake the card, she flies! This was also one of two entries I did for the G45 community FB group. They choose a random winner to receive $150 GC!!! Boy, I could spend that in a heart beat, couldn't you?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbe6HfnpIu7gl88mOgXdlQzdl8PK-MA1I46qelx95Ge5wUHDPPG_gLO4EpA8imHfBZ2p9OwCwL5_u5oQ9S6WKBF2xE31uAjags7k_fkSLjwjfzE55lajR88EY_qxGHsO-7R0NJXZGvHYcZqlmOuOLjfqDgPwZDYm_HTrRS69iNQDzyZJGd7vvvDOlc7tPk/s1280/Day%201.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="990" data-original-width="1280" height="248" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbe6HfnpIu7gl88mOgXdlQzdl8PK-MA1I46qelx95Ge5wUHDPPG_gLO4EpA8imHfBZ2p9OwCwL5_u5oQ9S6WKBF2xE31uAjags7k_fkSLjwjfzE55lajR88EY_qxGHsO-7R0NJXZGvHYcZqlmOuOLjfqDgPwZDYm_HTrRS69iNQDzyZJGd7vvvDOlc7tPk/s320/Day%201.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Today kicked off the #31 Days of Halloween on my YouTube Channel. creative path?<o:p></o:p></b></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>My cousin showed me a scrapbook
she was making when her baby was born and that sparked my interest in the
papercrafting world. It was such an amazing moment to realize there are ways of
being creative without possessing fine art skills. This was exactly what I was
looking for.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>How has your creativity
evolved?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>I started with scrapbooking and
tried and learned every technique I could possibly find. Scrapbooks take a very
long time to create though so cardmaking naturally took over and I eventually
settled on a clean and simple style.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>What do you enjoy most
about your creative path?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>I love how much I can learn. I
love finding as many ways as possible to use supplies and challenging myself to
create with what I have. My creativity has also been able to grow as a content
creator in video editing, photography, graphic design, marketing and event
planning. It’s been quite a journey!</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4Qyb6klzcYMx_obx4_ZesUYAnpIKzgUbu_u-UKsvDtD2nN1genQYkCaOe7R1QUmQCq8pCCRTy0RZtNfCMtdDsVvsgzCk4y_FwvNrWtsQO0M5HPMprq3RMBJN60UN-pG331ntIvDm7LBgyZgsBdLdwlxd69dx0fgXaYlSbaP9eUCohWup9RIwziLZWqKbn/s640/IMG_3246.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4Qyb6klzcYMx_obx4_ZesUYAnpIKzgUbu_u-UKsvDtD2nN1genQYkCaOe7R1QUmQCq8pCCRTy0RZtNfCMtdDsVvsgzCk4y_FwvNrWtsQO0M5HPMprq3RMBJN60UN-pG331ntIvDm7LBgyZgsBdLdwlxd69dx0fgXaYlSbaP9eUCohWup9RIwziLZWqKbn/s320/IMG_3246.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><b><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b><br /></b></p>What inspires you?</b><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>My supplies inspire me. I don’t
search the internet often for ideas on what to make, I usually pick up a supply
from my stash and take it from there.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>When did you move from
hobby to business and what initiated the transition?<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>I think a business aspect has
always been a part of the journey since I signed up really early to be a Close
to my Heart consultant. I did this mainly for the discount because I didn’t
have access to supplies in my hometown. I started blogging and making videos
around 2013, design teams followed shortly, course creation and much more. I’ve
always enjoyed collaborating with other crafters as well and trying to give
them opportunities I wish I had when I first started.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>What do you love most about
your space and would you change anything?</b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>My space at the moment isn’t
ideal. Since home office took over, my space moved to the hallway and I got the
Brand Box. I do love it but I don’t feel that my space is very personal like it
used to be when I picked all my furniture, had inspirational decoration and
used a lot of wall space. I love that everything has a place and if I could
change anything, I would love to have a little bit more space. I love that the
small space challenges me though, makes me really think about what I buy and
forces me to clean up when I’m done.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>What 3 things do you feel
are important when planning a space?</b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>It’s important to get furniture
and storage that fits your supplies! I’ve had about 7 craft spaces since I move
a lot and I always pre-plan. What will go where, what will fit in which
organizer. Things you use most should be closest to you. Make your space your
own and personalize it. Add your artwork to the walls, invest in things that
make it pretty and make your space unique and special to you.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>What is your best
organization tip?</b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>It’s a pretty specific one but I
love my ink refill storage. The issue with refills is you don’t need them often
and they are often stored upright in a box so you can’t see the labels. I
numbered the bottoms of my ink pads and I numbered the tops of the refill
bottles with the same number as the matching ink pad. I can find them easily
when I need them. </i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>What is your best tip for
anyone wanting to turn their craft into a business?</b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>There are a lot of cardmaking and
craft businesses out there but <b>YOU are unique</b>. What are you bringing to the
table that’s different – a technique you’re an expert on? A way of explaining
things? A bubbly personality? Whatever it is, hone in on that and stay true to
it. I also spent years watching channels and bloggers that were larger than me
and I tried to follow their journey. Turns out the majority of us are just
experimenting and winging it and what you think makes them successful might not
work for you. Enjoy the process, not the end goal. Stay consistent. Believe in
yourself and your ability. And don’t be afraid to take courses and invest in
yourself professionally.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Thank you for joining us in the studio today, Justine. I should be able to visit everyone this week. Bob is off to his brother's in OK this weekend then could possibly head back to work on Tuesday. </p><p>I have a lot to catch up on so let me show you a rather tidy desk this morning. </p><p>Before I do that, I have this picture I took for Elizabeth from Elizabeth & Bluebeard</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnRYjXjDUg65RBUCRl9oxlIKrxn59k3Qu9jHPs666Rt3PsXls0Js4oBDSKqx8i-KfmvP4N8-Z_jK0QGJ5qK9NL96La9n7whZFMwIh6YUjFj3N3sBQ2JZqwKvULnTGX6BpYao04o6dP8VjKuiU9dem1IeB85q3Hs0JxYTcsHnDGc4WMfPmU7D90bcT5FDjf/s640/IMG_2820.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnRYjXjDUg65RBUCRl9oxlIKrxn59k3Qu9jHPs666Rt3PsXls0Js4oBDSKqx8i-KfmvP4N8-Z_jK0QGJ5qK9NL96La9n7whZFMwIh6YUjFj3N3sBQ2JZqwKvULnTGX6BpYao04o6dP8VjKuiU9dem1IeB85q3Hs0JxYTcsHnDGc4WMfPmU7D90bcT5FDjf/s320/IMG_2820.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I saw this rocking horse in a consignment shop a few weeks ago. I'll need to decorate at least one on my video for tomorrow. I hope to have the other four done before I have to film this afternoon.</div><div>The tags are made from the scrapbook paper pack from Stampin' Up! that I'm using for this kit. I've cut each one to size and glued an aged piece of spiral notebook paper to the back for journaling. I still need to decorate the inside of the envelope for what you'll see through the window when the tag is removed. Still thinking on that one. To the far left you'll see scraps from the retired paper pad, Painted Autumn. I'm really trying to work through my stash!</div><div><br /></div><div>I hope you all stopped in to see our very own <b><a href="https://kellyscreativedreams.blogspot.com/2023/08/creators-corner-tracy-easson.html" target="_blank">Tracy Easson</a></b> on the blog last month. Tomorrow, I'll be featuring cardmaker, Justine Hovey. Justine shared excited news a couple of months ago and I knew I needed to bring her on board to let all of you know what she's up to.</div><div><br /></div><div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: center;">That's it for my desk (and story)
this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to
Stamping Ground for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other
studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the
window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">

That meant getting videos through tomorrow recorded - six in total. </p><p>We met up with one of the crafty ladies from our junk journal group then spent the rest of the day in Springfield doing a little shopping, visiting an Antique Mall and enjoying an enormous dinner at the Smokin' Crab. The place is a bit expensive because the seafood is based on current market prices. For Bob and I it was a treat. My sister and I both love seafood and I knew no one in her family would ever take her so it was our day. We were on the go for twelve hours but it was an awesome day we'll both remember.</p><p>I have pictures on my phone to share with you guys, but don't have time to resize/ edit them this morning. Probably a long post on Wednesday. I only have a couple of hours left at the hotel before I have to check out and need to finish up a planner project so the next of this quarter and all of the final quarter of 2023 run relatively smoothly. </p><p>I'll leave you with video links for now if you want to catch up:</p><p>Tag Tuesday - another tag for the journal - https://youtu.be/BpZnXkDRuYw</p><p>Color Challenge - Guest Checks - https://youtu.be/R-I4YQOaZL4</p><p>Finish It Friday - More Guest Checks - https://youtu.be/olRISTfmdBY</p><p>SACs Saturday - Wobblers! - https://youtu.be/U-UIYMPw0z0</p><p>I'll have a post tomorrow but probably mid-afternoon. </p><p>In the mean time, here is today's Make It Mail It video:</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; created … it`s the best feeling in the world!</i><o:p></o:p></p></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlg0519RIG6XzPrXe3N4KoqrxGlFHChAEgdrLFB0ul43-Qp1MF_4-3x0xHaTizMUXqyW3RJzDGGqpmU9cFeutNd5qQ3a2Ay21nyBaSz96PtqLWQmNtLII_aUJGogRisLzPiBn3Ka5wYrPHLsARXyVWvQ9VtOhH0I91ZJV49sNDg7gv8-UKJFAPKG9BRBBF/s480/desk%201.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlg0519RIG6XzPrXe3N4KoqrxGlFHChAEgdrLFB0ul43-Qp1MF_4-3x0xHaTizMUXqyW3RJzDGGqpmU9cFeutNd5qQ3a2Ay21nyBaSz96PtqLWQmNtLII_aUJGogRisLzPiBn3Ka5wYrPHLsARXyVWvQ9VtOhH0I91ZJV49sNDg7gv8-UKJFAPKG9BRBBF/s320/desk%201.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>1 – What got you started on the
creative path?<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>From my earliest memory, sat on
the floor in my Gran and Di`s living room playing with matchboxes and watching
my Gran create necklaces from melon seeds was the start of my creative path. I
was always happiest when I was creating, imagining something bringing it to be
through my heart and hands.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>2 – How has your creativity
evolved?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>As the years have passed I`ve found
me, my own voice, my own style getting braver, trusting I am enough just the
way I am sprinkled with whimsy, always listening to the whispers from within,
no longer afraid to share who I am through my art.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>3 – What do you enjoy most
about your creative path?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>That SOUL, TUMMY TINGLING feeling
I get when I know I`m on the right path, when everything just clicks and flows,
when I`m being TRUE to who I am, when I`m up into the wee hours painting, listening
to my music, feeling my dad so close in that time … when I`m finished and I see
what I`ve created … not quite believing that it was me that created it … an overwhelming
sense of such pure JOY, such PEACE and LOVE
surround me … then I bound upstairs to waken up Alex { my husband } to share my
JOY in what I`ve created … bless him, no matter the time, he reaches for his
glasses to look and to listen to my excitement!</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>4 – What inspires you?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>My Dad is my biggest inspiration …
the world all around me … from the glorious sky above and the earth below … my
happy music as I call it ... the awakening of my soul, the whispers that I hear
that get louder and louder until I let them out through my pencil and brushes.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>5 – When did you move from
hobby to business and what initiated the transition?</b><b> </b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>The passing of my dad was and is
behind the decision, we had a conversation the week before he went in for his
operation … I was worried about my job, one of the things <a name="_Int_6uCyA404">dad</a> said was<b><o:p></o:p></b></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i> "What are you worried about, when one
door closes another <a name="_Int_aOC0qJ0Z">opens</a> … you have a gift, you
can do anything, believe in yourself". <b><o:p></o:p></b></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>The year following my dad's
passing I was gifted so many signs from my dad, I was left with no doubts what
I had to do … so with my BRAVE girl pants pulled right up I started on my new
path, one step at a time … going forward in life, doing what I was born to do …
create, uplift and inspire through my art.</i><b><o:p></o:p></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2qrxQ3Hrvu75KPbV1O7k4H-53IGErTmwWaoRoBbVmfY38Iw0ol11c3MfhCpLmb5MrdDhPsc51QYTw_jTbvr7oUIaA9JGIuGSEuQpCk_tL6P-QAsiZkUsA3REi4Ob3BuFZH1bhOrdSQuV4SPTtFPoAEoxRTU_az5MlGxqalFw9I0E0zOiTdU8GdBJEbSLl/s480/outside%20work%20space.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2qrxQ3Hrvu75KPbV1O7k4H-53IGErTmwWaoRoBbVmfY38Iw0ol11c3MfhCpLmb5MrdDhPsc51QYTw_jTbvr7oUIaA9JGIuGSEuQpCk_tL6P-QAsiZkUsA3REi4Ob3BuFZH1bhOrdSQuV4SPTtFPoAEoxRTU_az5MlGxqalFw9I0E0zOiTdU8GdBJEbSLl/s320/outside%20work%20space.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: left;"><b>6 – What do you love most about
your space, and would you change anything?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>I`ve went from working out in my
shed in the garden, to upstairs in a room … to today … a desk in our living
room right in front of a big window … I love it, it`s a space where I don`t feel
cut out from the bustle of family, a spot where I can see the sky above and
watch the clouds chasing, changing shape … a place to watch the birds come to
feed and dance in the bird bath … to Mr and Mrs Squirrel who come and watch me
from the shed roof … I`m sure they think I`m crazy as I wave hello!</i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>Would I change anything … at some
point I`m sure I`m going to be back out in a garden room as I want to
incorporate ceramics into my work, not something you want to do in your living
room plus I can beeee messy … but for now I`m right where I want to be.</i><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>7 – What 3 things do you feel
are important when planning a space?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>As my workspace is in our living
room, I like it to be kept relatively tidy so lots of storage is a must as I
don`t want everything on show {have I mentioned I can be messy}</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i><o:p></o:p></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>Lots of natural light for me …
when I worked upstairs or out in my shed the light was never very good … having
my desk in front of a huge window is my idea of bliss!</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i><o:p></o:p></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>Little baskets or bowls to hold
little treasures, it`s good to look back on the days when inspiration has taken
a holiday</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p> </o:p><b>8 – What is your best
organization tip?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>When you`re lost in the process of
creating it`s a good idea to have what you`re going to use to hand from the
start… nothing worse than having to stop to go hunt something out.</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>9 – What is your best tip for
anyone wanting to turn their craft into a business?</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>If you wait until you think you`re
ready … you`ll never be ready … there will always be something that you think
you have to do first!</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i><o:p></o:p></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>I started with 5 stamp sets under
my own brand, I was asked to go on Hochanda TV … I didn`t think I was ready …
who goes on with only 5 sets … me, I did knowing my Dad was working his magic
from next door all I had to do was trust and believe!</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i><o:p></o:p></i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i>Believe, trust, have faith and be
brave would be my advice and go for it … we only get gifted one chance at life,
if you have an feeling, an urge inside you, a whisper from within then take a
chance … you might be surprised where you end up!</i></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Thank you, Tracy, for being here and showing your passion and tips with us.
