WOYWW #267

Not a lot has changed on my desk this week. We spent the weekend in Lincoln NE at our niece's wedding. I spent some time Sat. morning taking pictures of the university grounds and downtown. I like creating my own 'morgue file' for blog pics. The campus grounds were beautiful with floral and architecture.

The 5 reams of SU Marina Mist cardstock are for the little pocket notebooks and the stamp set was a gift from one of my SILs.

On our way home Sunday we stopped for the night in Springfield - which meant I got to go to Michael's. I found this beautiful suitcase for 50% off... then had an additional 25% coupon off total purchase. This is one of the base colors in my studio and I knew if I left it behind, I'd kick myself later. My initial plan was to put my Sizzix dies inside then slide it under my Project Life shelf. As you can see, that was not going to happen. So I'll tuck it away for another use. But, this did give me the idea to use one I'd purchased on clearance last year for the same thing... Now this is how my die-cutting area looks.

The wooden cabinet to the left started off on my writing desk upstairs but was just too cluttered looking. For now I've been putting pieces of white cardstock  inside for when I just need a small piece for something. The box underneath is my embossing folder files.

That's it for me this week. I have something to share with you very soon so stay tuned, and I hope if you are not already, you will follow me so you don't miss out!

In the mean time, head on over to Stamping Ground where Miss Julia will have the pass to tons of other inspiring blogs for you to visit. Want to know more about what we do every Wednesday? Go HERE.

Creative Blessings!

    1. Those little suitcases are the decor ones found in Michaels, Hobby Lobby and even Dollar General! You wouldn't want to put weight in them and expect them to hold up to be carried, but they are beautiful accents! Thanks for stopping in! Creative Blessings!

  2. I really like the suitcase, and that it led you to a different solution for the dies....but I LOVE the little wooden cupboard, it's gorgeous. And I must say, a great idea too!

  3. Ooh I love that suitcase, it's a real eye-catcher and needs to be out in full view! Very impressed at how beautifully neat and organised your die-cutting stuff is - I hate getting mine out as it's a battle fitting it all back in the drawer afterwards! Thanks for stopping by my desk, hope you have a great week,

  4. The cog die is by Tim Holtz for Sizzix that you saw on my desk. Your case is so pretty, I would have bought it too and even better that you got so much off the full price. #27

    1. I so agree. I've come to love 3 cardstocks. SU is my primary CS. Then it's Co'ordinations and DCWV. Though I only use DCWV if I'm working with their DP for a challenge.

  15. Thanks for the visit earlier (yeah, I'm late) and I like your thought that a clean desk is just creativity waiting to explode. Your desk looks like a fun place to play. I like how you decided to store your dies. I tis a shame that first case didn't work out but now you can put it someplace where you can see it better since it is so pretty!
