#TAGTUESDAY - Sort of - Featuring Fabrika Decoru

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm still working on the Spectrum Art Creations challenges, thinking ahead to the October line up and working amongst the chaos. Good news is, the chaos may get reigned in over the next few weeks. We had rain in the wee hours of the morning. Good news is, the spot affecting my office may be fixed, but we still have the leak in the dining room. We're getting closer.

I worked frantically to complete a couple of projects yesterday. I'm trying to work through the challenges systematically so when I've completed/ filmed all of the projects for one challenge, I can put the contents away and move to the next. I'm still working on the Fabrika Decoru journal. Today, you'll see the 'tag' is actually a Super Tag (journaling spot) made from junk mail. Then I'll be back tomorrow to show you all the frills.

Good afternoon, crafy friends!

I woke up this morning feeling really tired. I went back to bed instead of posting.

I did four ore tags for the Fabrika Decoru journal using the 'quilting' method. They resemble a patchwork crazy quilt. I was only going to make two but four or more works better with this technique. I learned this from DearJulieJulie several years ago. She usually has four or more tags in a challenge so this is perfect.

Welcome to still not having the best lighting for filming/ photos. I tried to chance the lighting a bit.

I used four different papers and/ or sides for the tags, cut into four pieces. Click on the video below to see the process. I'll be back tomorrow with WOYWW and pockets/ tucks for this journal in progress.

TAG TUESDAY - Fabrika Decoru - Part 1

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Today's #tagtuesday is the first in multiple parts of the Fabrika Decoru Challenge with Spectrum Art Creations.

Here's a shot of the papers I'm working with. The collection is called Sentimental Story

I fell in love with the peach and black tones of the collection and instantly thought of a Shabby Chic style album.

TAG TUESDAY - Patriotic Tags From Packaging

 Good morning!

I've spent the last several minutes trying to get logged in. Every time I tried, google brought up my author account or my homesteading... even when showing this account. I'm so over tech issues! 

I wasn't sure I'd have a video or post this morning. I've spent time over the past few days filing all of my digital print outs on to Scrap Rack spinders and eliminating one more tote bag off the office floor. While working, I started planning this week's tag. I knew I wanted to use the packaging from the bunting decor I bought several years ago. I used four packages for these tags.

I won't explain here. Today is Bob and I's 42nd wedding anniversary. I got up early to record the video. He's waiting patiently for me to go nap then we can play an all-day game of Double Triominoes.

WOYWW 897

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Last Wednesday just came and went. LOL

I have 2 workspaces this week. First, my usual filming table:

Pretty empty due to a bit of clearing. I had to move my camera holder over to the ironing mat for last week's video so I thought this was a good opportunity to give a good cleaning. I photographed the tags for yesterday's blog post and a video so I've not moved anything. The tag on the far left was last week's #tagtuesday then the one on the dark mat was this week's tag/ pocket from napkin-covered cardstock. Now that the Pink Christmas album is finished, I hope to get that stuff all put away then finish the Patriotic journal in the next couple of weeks. After that, 2 bee journals that just need a bit of sewing.

The pressing mat with the immediate use items for the past 2 weeks. I needed to film my technique for applying napkin to cardstock using mod podge and an iron, giving you almost wrinkle-free finished product.

TAG TUESDAY - Patriotic Tags & a Pocket

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm trying to get back on the ball this week. My goal is to finish the Patriotic journal in the next couple of weeks then finish the Bee journal I started three years ago. Just needs a bit of sewing.

This tall tag was created using a Dear Julie Julie digital - American Hydrangeas The flag is from a bag of cupcake picks from $Tree, the word is cut from the paper pad I'm using. The button is part of a Stampin' Up! collection and the paper clip from my stash. The paper clip will be used to attach the tag to the side of a page.

This tag and pocket were made from the Friday Freebie video where I showed a napkin tip. The tag and pocket were cut from the napkin-covered cardstock.

The embellishments are from hte Stars & Stripes Junk Journal Kit from the PochandPothosStudio on Etsy.

TAG TUESDAY - Week 2

I apologize now for any errors in this post. Tabby has been very clinging since HoneyB left us.  Her favorite spot is between me and the keyboard. She's only an #8 tabby but she's a lover. She and HoneyB were best friends. He took care of her and she took care of him. She's a bit lost, as are we all.

I'm coming in late today as I needed to curl up with a book I needed to post a review for tomorrow. I'm slowly getting back to schedule. 

I went with something a bit different today:

As you'll see in the video link HERE, I was inspired by a sketch in the current Stampin' Up! All Occasion Catalog. They've been providing more of those since acquiring Close To My Heart. 

I love this 6x6 paper line - Share The Love but I think next week, I'll pull a different collection. I also have some recreated vintage Valentine papers as well as a digital collection.

TAG TUESDAY - Share The Love

 Good morning, crafty friends!

After a horrid week last week, I'm finally getting into the flow. I'll be posting about the issue last week on tomorrow's WOYWW blog.

Today, I'm kicking off six weeks of Share the Love. While that is the title of the series, I may use papers other than the Share The Love 6x6 DSP (Stampin' Up! 2017 spring)

Each tag will be 2.5 x 5 using the Heavy Weight cardstock from Ollie's as the base. I'm also only using items from my stash.

TAG TUESDAY - Cioa Bella - Sound of Autumn - Part 3

 Good morning, crafty friends!

No actual picture of the desk this morning showing everything I played with yesterday for the video. Getting through the video was enough as I dealt with a migraine. But, I do have a video. 

In the video you'll see me mention that I couldn't find my Merry Cafe stamp set so I could make some dangles that said Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice. I found it. I just looking in the right box of stamps. Because it said "Merry Cafe" I kept going back through Christmas until I remembered it also had fall and other seasons. So, when I looked in Mixed Seasons - there it was. LOL I might just move it to Coffee Cafe with the die set so I'll always find it. Coffee, is a FOOD GROUP after all.

#TAGTUEDAY - Harvest Meadow and Oh Nuts!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I've been awake since 3:30 so I'm apologizing in advance for any mistakes. LOL

I did get a card made this morning. I really wanted to play with the Oh Nuts! stamp set from MayMayMadeIt. I picked up the set on a day trip haul last week.

Here's the tag I came up with on the fly very early this morning.:

I used the brown bare tree paper for the background then randomly stamped the small acorns from the set. I stamped them in Chocolate Chip then colored the tops with the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker.

I stamped the squirrel with Early Espresso on Soft Suede cardstock.

the star hole reinforcer is from when I was testing which reinforcer to use on the December Daily album.

Silly me, braiding a golden rod colored bakers twine but I wanted a little pop of color.

#TAGTUEDAY - Harvest Meadow

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm kicking off the month of September with our first Fall tag.

I have chosen the Harvest Meadow paper pack from Stampin' Up! This was part of their Holiday 2021 release.  You can check out the video of how this tag came together HERE.

I'm short on time this morning because things took me longer yesterday than I'd planned. Seems that happens a lot the older I get.

I used three stamp sets with this tag. The stitches are from a set I purchased from Spectrum Art Creations' Etsy store a couple of years ago. I use the set a lot and may have to pick up one of their other stitch sets. You'll find that set HERE.  There are two other sets in their Etsy Store. HERE and HERE

I also used a set from Tracy Easson called Angels Of Love and Timeless Textures (retired) from Stampin' Up! You can see the set HERE on Ebay.

That's our first Fall Tag for 2025. I hope to have a flip through of the reconstructed December Daily album on Friday.

For some reason I've been on a tag in a tag theme. I used the Gilded Autumn paper pack from Stampin' Up! As I started fussy cutting the acorns I remembered something...

#TAGTUESDAY - Winter's Veil

 Good morning.

Coming in a little late. I slept in this morning. After eleven hours on the computer yesterday I really needed the rest.

I decided for our tag this week, I'd pull out the Winter's Veil collection from the wreath project. I'm trying to use up collections as I go and whittle down what I have in the studio.

The back side of the cover was printed with various tags. I lost some of them when I used the image for the cross piece on the wreath.

With that in mind, I decided to use a strip of the trees with 'winter wishes' as a pocket on the front of the tag and incorporate one of the existing tags with the buck. 

Normally, I don't hang things off the bottom of the tag but this just seemed to call for it. I want to search for some lace similar but with snowflakes. I had the sparkly ribbon and the metal snowflake charm in my stash.

I think the only thing I have left is to make the pocket letter on Saturday then that should take care of most of what's left, though I may have some pieces to make Christmas cards.

#CHRISTMASINJULY - #TAGTUESDAY ` #TIMHOLTZ

Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm still waiting on today's video to upload. In the mean time, here's the tag:

I thought I'd be brave and try the tuck tag. We were give a pre-cut tag but also the die to make more - exclusive to the kit! I have his first pocket die but this one allows you to put tucks anywhere on a larger surface. You can either just cut out the slots, or you can use the coordinating frame die to make square ones to place as a layer on your page. Cool, huh? (You can see that die in the video HERE).    

I almost did another collage tag. Like Heidi said, they are addictive and you just want to keep making them. These tags have the similar effect. I look forward to trying one for Halloween in my 31 Days of Halloween series.

 Good afternoon, crafty friends!

Coming in a tad late. I got the video recorded and uploaded this morning then dove in to getting some baking done before the temperatures rose and my AC would have to work overtime. I am so ready for fall!

No picture today but I do have the video for making the Tim Holtz collage tag from his LIVE class with Simon Says Stamp. I hope you enjoy.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY - Tag Tuesday

 Good morning, creative friends!

I'm home!!! No traveling until sometime in September when we go pick up the grandgirls for a visit.

I'm kicking off the CHRISTMAS IN JULY series. All this month, the posts will have something to do with a quick tag using a card kit from Stamperia. The kit was 'All Around Christmas' While I don't see the card kit listed on the Spectrum Art Creations website, you will find the papers and die cuts in the collection HERE

ALL THINGS ALTERED & TAB TUESDAY - Double Play

Hi everyone!

Coming of the great writing conference this past weekend, I barely got the videos done--let alone posting here. 

Let's start with yesterday.

I made Hidden Paperclips from the cookie box packaging I've been using for the #allthingsaltered journal. 

I originally made 3 in the VIDEO but realized I was out of frame most of the time so the third one from the left was the make for the final video.

Aside from the cookie box for the base, I used the same paper pad I've been using, lace & ribbon from my stash and the floral stickers from $Tree.

For today's Tag Tuesday, I made what I'm calling a French Door tag with pocket. I got the idea from a video a couple of weeks ago but can't find who the creator was. She offered a template for the tag where I just did the math, as you'll see in today's video (it's still uploading).

After I recorded, I did wind up putting a bit of velcro behind the jelly fish to help keep the doors closed. 

I used Enchanted Ocean from Sara Davies at Crafter's Companion. This is also for the nautical challenge in the Spectrum Art & Friends FB group. As soon as the video for this project is done, I'll link it HERE.

TAG TUESDAY!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I have a seasonal tag for you today. This will be the first of several I have planned over the next couple of days. 

We were given a free digital in the Spectrum Art Creations and Friends Facebook group and a Flash Challenge. The images are cute patriotic perfect for the 4th of July deadline. 

The video for this tag is still uploading but you'll find it on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL later this afternoon.

In the mean time, here's the tag I came up with on the fly this morning:

The cow and crown are from the digital kit. Everything else is from my stash. I can't say enough about how much easier getting to my scraprack is now that I've taken the spinder/ collections off the rack and stood them up book-style on the shelf. I just didn't have enough bases for all the stuff! LOL

I'll be showing that in an updated video. 

I'll drop the tag video in at the bottom when it's finished.
