WOYWW #469 - Update - no desk

Okay.. I have no desk to show this week. Instead, I'll show you one of the cards I made last week - you know.. since I couldn't be on line LOL

This was the 'April' challenge for the Christmas Challenge Facebook group I belong to. We were to use Black/ White/ with a pop of color. You can see the details for the card HERE  For our May challenge, we're to make four cards using 'Sparkle' & 'Shine'. I know she doesn't mean the Disney characters my granddaughters love. hehe I see glitter and embossing in my future.

And I apologize for not getting round to many of you last week. Until yesterday, I've had limited internet since Thursday last week. I couldn't use third-party applications like Pinterest, IG or Palringo at all and web pages loaded so slow that at times they timed out. And I have HughesNet 5G!

So I've been cleaning up a storm. Forced myself to leave the house yesterday with ATCs laying on the table :: palm to forehead ::::  Those will go out this weekend.

I've received lovely ATC's from Kim and from Margaret.

I can tell you the backgrounds on mine use the 'marble' technique. I'll show them off after I know everyone has received theirs.

Bob comes home tomorrow night. Let the Go Go Go begin! LOL

WOYWW #468

WOW!
NINE Fabulous years.
I've known marriages that couldn't last that long.
Just goes to show how FANTABULOUS
Miss Julia is at bringing & keeping
us excited to share our spaces every week!

Speaking of:

Center of my work table
This seems to be the most comfortable spot for my hip
When I'm not working on the computer, I move the computer to the desk
(where I'd like to work)
and get crafty.

This is to the left where I keep my tools. You'll see a couple of stamp sets I was working with yesterday.
That key ring with the pretty colors -
my blog flash drives as well as reminder cards for the passwords I use most -
color-coded to match the accounts they go with.

This is to the right of me.
The long box is all the current SU card stock colors.
I have a minimum of 5 pre-cut/ pre-folded bases
as well as pre-cut mats in each color.

The box to the right of that ~
Sketch designs I've culled from Pinterest.
I have them stored in brag album sleeves so I can flip through and pick a design
without having to get on the computer.
The box behind that (under a new stamp set)
are bases/ mats of the retired colors.
I can use those bases on non-SU projects.

I apologize for not getting round but thank each of you for your visit last week.
You all will be first on my list this week.

That's it for my desk this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

WOYWW #467 Flashback

Normally, there would be a picture of my desk this week. But frankly, I don't have the stamina to take the picture. I've managed to pinch a nerve in my left hip and I'm just not comfortable right now. The pinched nerve is effecting not only my hip but up the left side and into my arm. I think it's because of the time I've spent in my recliner with the laptop the past three days. While it appears to be a comfortable place to work, I'm thinking my hip is disagreeing.

I first began playing with the WOYWW crew on May 18, 2011. This is what my desk looked like:

I was in my basement studio.. and in a lot of ways, preferred this desk for working. If I were still on a desk this height I might not be having the hip problems I am today.

What I do notice is that while the arrangement is different, the same tools are still in use.  So I have a question for you this week. How has your space or tools changed since you first began playing with the WOYWW crew? I'd love to know!

I did want to let you all know I am participating in the annual ATC swap next week. I will have 12 to swap. I make 13.. keep #1 for my page then swap out the other 12. The person below my name on the list with an asteric is an automatic swap. The remaining 11 will be up for grabs.

That's it for my desk this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. 52 CHRISTMAS CARD THROWDOWN

Our challenge for this round...

I had a card base of Very Vanilla already embossed with the Cable Knit embossing folder.
From the Be Merry DSP I pulled patterns that looked stitched. The stamp set is from Merry Mistletoe. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla and die cut with the Stitched Framelit Oval

I liked how the card turned out. I might make four more to add to my stash. If you need a quick Christmas card come November, this is one you can count on.

I'm also posting this on the Stampin' UP! blog tomorrow so I needed to stick with products we still have - at least through the end of May. The colors used were Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green.

There won't be any cards this weekend. Bob's time home is coming to an end so I'll be spending most of my time with him. Thank you for your understanding!

Merry Christmas Blessings!

WOYWW #465 - Bear Update

There you have it... for me - a mess. Lots of projects in progress and more to begin today. With the early release of a new SU stamp set and prepping for the catalog release June 1, I've been busy trying to get stuff up on the KellysCreativeStamping blog. I'm also determined to get the May Birthday/ Anniversary cards in the mail today. I only have a few left to address.

Update on Bear. He had his dental surgery yesterday. They removed one tooth, trimmed down the large growth and two smaller ones plus a general tooth clean. Doc John said that over-all he's in good health. Blood work came back clean. He just has a bit of an Eyeore complex.. woa is me. LOL

Thursday he goes to the groomers for the first time. As long as they don't mess with the party fur around his face, I'll be anxious to see what he looks like truly free of mud mats and fluff for a few hours.  We have rain moving in tonight/ tomorrow/ Friday so I'm sure he'll lay in the first mud puddle in his kennel he can find as soon as we bring him home. LOL

I only got around to a few people last week. As you know, with Bob home I limit my computer time. I make sure to get to matching numbers and those who visit me. The rest are catch as catch can.

That's it for my desk this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details.
