#31DAYSOFHALLOWEEN - Days 22-27

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I have the next six tags in the series. I can't believe we're almost finished!

For Day 22 - Whatever I Want Wednesday, I played with lots of different elements from Simple Stories Vintage Halloween. I love this kit. I really need to make an album with the rest of the kit.

Day 22

Day 23 was Thrifty Thursday. I took strips from Halloween Night (Stampin' Up! 2016) to do a strip collage inspired by a picture in Stampington Halloween. I added Mr. Bones. When embossing his hat, my large heat gun went out. Thankfully, I had a small Commotion stamps gun as a back up. Both are over 20 years old so maybe time to replace LOL. I added the Googly eye for a little more effect. Almost looks like Mr. Bones has a monical.

Day 23

Day 24 - Fabric Friday. I pulled out a 4" swatch pack from Moda called Midnight Magic #2. I initially bought the pack to go with the G45 Midnight Tales. I also used a piece of the fabric to make a small yo-yo. The ephemera pieces fre from Tim Holtz Halloween 2023 and 2024

Day 24

Day 25 - SACs Saturday. I've been wanting to play with this black cat napkin ever since I saw it. The background is pieced with black tissue paper to fill out the space. I added a crescent moon embellishment from my stash. I'd like to have found a crow the same size to perch on his hat.

Day 25

DAY 26 - Spooky Sunday.  The background paper is from Stampin' Up! Toil n Trouble. I stamped the house and colored in the windows.  you can't see it very well in the picture but I die cut 3 ghosts from that same stamp/ die set from packing material. Very ethereal look against the background. They almost look like wisps of smoke. LOL

DAY 26

Finally, for today - Day 27, I played with Skeletons for Mixed Media Monday. I call them Dancing Skeletons.
The background is a treat bag from the Sept. 2019 Paper Pumpkin. I opened the bag and glued it to the base by using Tombo Mono white glue to adhere the bag. The other elements are also from that same kit.

DAY 27

That's it for me today. I'm going to be working on Meals In A Jar today with Ramen Noodles. I like to replace their seasoning packet with real bouillon then add extra freeze-dried veggies to mine. I put mine in pint jars with only 1/2 pack of noodles. I also only put 1/2 pack in the quart jars (sans veggies) for Bob and I for a quick lunch. I found out yesterday he prefers ramen noodles over Campbell's soups. After 42 years, I'm still learning things about him!

WOYWW - 855

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I did get 'round to a few of you from last week. I am home now. Hopefully, no more traveling until April 2026 when I hide to do the final edits on this book. I'm ready so ready to send it out into the world and start on Book 3 in the series.

I won't be around today as my dear husband, Bob, turns 65! Today is all about him.

The desk is quite boring this week. You can see the remnants of my #31daysofhalloween tags for Tim Holtz Tuesday. I posted today's and I have next Tuesday's done/ filmed and ready to post next week.  If you want to see them, they are all posted on my IG channel - KellysCreativeDreams. All that's left is the kindle and note pad from a book review post on my author blog and the note pad for my cauldron blog schedule.  Tomorrow, I'll clear all the Tim Holtz paper & ephemera away then start the rest of the tags. Only 10 tags left to create! November will be a bit slower.

I did take the Halloween Curio Class with Tim & Heidi at Simon Says Stamps. I even got a comment from Tim on my IG post. I was thrilled. Here's what I made:

I enjoyed the 4-hour class and learned some things. I can't wait to get out some of the other cloches & things I purchased over the years and make more dimensional items.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Sarah and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Sarah’s Craft Shed for all the details. Miss Sarah has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

Creative Blessings!

CATCHING UP! - Part 2 - #31daysofhalloween

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm quickly learning some things need to change as I get older. I spent Sunday hanging laundry. I have a slight incline from my porch to the clothes line.  I'm always cautious of my bad knee but yesterday morning I woke up with what felt like shin splints on my left leg. I took meds and crawled back into bed by 10:30. The rest of the day went quickly with little accomplished.

It's Tuesday morning about 5:30 a.m.  I've been awake since 2:30. Let's hope I can at least get through my mid-day meeting.

Today, we have Days 17-21. Remember, you will find all the details for each tag in its own video on my YouTube Channel . There is a #31DaysofHalloween Playlist on the channel.  Just seems like weekly posts here work best.

Day 17 - Fabric Friday

Day 18 - SACs Saturday

Day 19 - Spooky Sunday

Day 20 - Mixed Media Monday

Day 21 - Tim Holtz Tuesday

I'll see you tomorrow for another edition of WOYWW.

WOYWW #854

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I should be able to get 'round to everyone before next week. I'm still not home rom the writer's conference and a visit with my sister.

Here's my desk this morning:

After the conference closed on Saturday night, I headed to  my sister's on Sunday for a short visit. Now I'm at the hotel getting a bit of work done before heading home this afternoon.

For those of of you who asked about the tags. I finished the tag ring on my crafting retreat last month. Here's the video flip-through of that and the pocket letter page I did for the collection:

I will be doing a follow-up post tomorrow catching up with the tags. I had them done (filming 9 videos last Wednesday!) so I could get them posted on IG and scheduled the videos to post while I was away. If you're interested in those, please pop back tomorrow or that post or you can see them on my IG. Look for the #31daysohalloween hashtag.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Sarah and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Sarah’sCraft Shed for all the details. MAKE-UP MONDAY

 Hi everyone!

Last week was just nuts! When I got home I found out Bob had been streaming MeTV on our dish network and took me down to about 17% of my data. I was getting up before daylight to upload the tag video but then had to shut the internet down to get me through until the data reloaded Saturday night at midnight.

I'm back to full capacity and playing make-up. So photo-heavy. Are you ready?

You saw the Day 1 tag of the #31DaysofHalloween tags. Here are Days 2 - 6 to catch you up:

Day 2 - Thrifty Thursday

Day 3 - Fabric Friday

Day 4 - SACs Saturday

Day 5 - Spooky Sunday

Today's Tag:

Day 6 - Mixed Media Monday

I'll be making tags ahead over the next couple of days and scheduling the blog posts. I'm off to the Ozark Creative Writers Conference in Eureka Springs Arkansas on Thursday and won't be home until late Sunday. I've made room this week to get the tags made up/ video'd and scheduled ahead of time.

What are you playing with? Are you inspired to get out your supplies and make some tags? I'd love to see what you're  making. Tag me on instagram! @kellyscreativedreams

WOYWW #852

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Coming in late this morning. I got home Monday afternoon, spent yesterday with Bob with the exception of making a short video. Bob left this morning for 5-6 days to visit friends in IL and IA so I'm on a mad cleaning spree.

I had a great time on the crafting retreat. There were four of us including the hostess. One of our group drove up for just one day to play with friends. She needed the day.

Then I spent five days at the hotel working on my book. Only a few new words but I have an order going forward. I'm hoping for a Mid-May 2026 release. Positive vibes appreciated. ;-)

Question: Do you clean better when you are the only one in the house?

Here's my desk:

The item in the top left, in front of the tool caddy, is an iPad holder with a magnet sheet for catching all of my dies when I'm working on a project. No more losing them on the desk!

Here's the tag you can't see very well:

I'm doing 31 Days of Halloween here, on my YouTube channel and on my IG account. Crazy, right?!

The background is washi tape and the item in the center is part of a thrifted treat box.
I have a theme schedule for every day of the week. Tomorrow is 'Thrifty Thursday'. Whether I'm using items I've thrifted or 'thrifting' from my stash. I have a full list of the Daily themes in the description box of each of the videos. Here is the video for Day 1:
