WOYWW #410

My desk this week is a bit uninspiring. The usual tools are in their place and my iPad mini handy for watching videos.

However, I do have a couple other things to show you. The uninspired surface is a result of clearing my mess up after making these two cards for my granddaughters. I had to clean up so I could photograph them:

I made the shaker card for my oldest granddaughter, Adrian. She is 9. I call her my 'tootsie pop'. Have no clue why... she's just always been that. I used recollections cardstock, Pawsitively DSP from SU. The flower border die is from Lawn Fawn. The bunny, eggs and flower are from SU - Basket Bunch. I also used the cloud stamp on the background from Sprinkles of Life (SU)

This one is for Abigail aka Abby. I call Abby 'cupcake' but she is quick to tell me she is NOT cupcake, she's 'Abigail' LOL She is 5. I got the idea for this card from a YouTube video fromSimon Says Stamps last year and bought the flower border tie. The die came in too late to use it so here it is making an appearance a year later. The clouds are punched from Sprinkles of Life and the Bunny/ eggs from Basket Bunch (SU)

Finally, this week. my next project:

This revamped Entertainment Center has served me well for ten years. The fiber board got some moisture issues when I was using it in the basement and now the mildew smell persists. Also, the drawers do not serve a purpose anymore as the stamps have gone to cases and stored in the photo boxes. As you can see from the floor, I'm out of room for photo boxes.

I'm taking everything off, stripping out the cabinet and Bob is going to build something similar to a cube cabinet but they will be 15x15 to accommodate my paper envelopes. Right now the paper is all on a lower shelf across from this and it's dark. I have to get down low (making it even darker) to find the papers I want. So paper on the new cabinet, track lighting. Then the stamp cases will go where the paper is right now.

I'll show pictures soon. Right now, time to start clearing stuff.
That's it for my desk this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  That's my desk? What's on yours? When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground where Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

  1. Lol, granddaughters tell it like it is huh?! Those are cute cards though, shaker cards are such fun I think.
You are lucky having a handy husband who can whip you up some new shelving, it'll be great when it's all done and you can rearrange your stash to your heart's content!

    Take care. God bless.

  5. Lovely cards, really cute. Funny isnt it - in a couple of years, I think Abigail will have trained you out of calling her cupcake - and then she'll ask why you don't. Almost put money on it!
Great good luck with the changes - how lovely of your delicious husband, look forward to pictures. Of the new furniture, that is. Not that a picture of him wouldn't be welcome too! Oh well, you know what I mean!!

  9. Your cards are super cute. I just love little bunnies. Tootie Pop and Cupcake will be at your house or a visit soon. I know you're excited for that. So nice of Bob to help with your creativity and giving a home for your supplies. He's a real keeper.
