Apologies for the late pic this morning. I've caught my husband's head cold... just in time to go see the Celtic Woman concert on Friday night. So I am doctoring six ways from Sunday so I can enjoy the performance.
My desk is a dumping ground this week. Saturday... the day before I caught this cold.... Bob stayed home to nurse his and I went shopping. I spent my Christmas gift card to Hobby Lobby from him and this is the result.
Burlap in various colors taking center stage. I can not bring myself to pay $3.99 for a few strips in the scrapbooking dept. when I can go over to fabric and buy a 1/4 of a yard for .99! I bought some red and some sage green for Christmas cards yet to be made as well as the neutral tones. You'll also see a black PIT pen balance on the folds as well as a white Galaxy marker. Next to the marker, are some 7Gypsies calendar tabs. I love using these as monthly tabs in my dayplanner. They seem to be clearancing them so any time I find a package I snatch it up. Finally, on the left, are paint swatch/ idea booklets. Blame Shannon Green for that pick-up as you can see in her video below.
That's my desk? What's on yours? When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground where Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you. We won’t touch.. just look. J I can't wait to peek but if Bob is home for I might be late again getting 'round. Pleaseleave your number and you'll be first on my list.

If you've not been to her channel, please visit. She is a marvel with stuff most people toss and she is so much fun!
YouTube has changed their layout and I'm frustrated this morning finding things. My head is not up to the learning curve. Argh!

ReplyDeleteKelly, thanks so much for the visit to my blog! Return visit here with you! :) Oh I so hope you get to feeling better by concert time! I am soooooo jealous, by the way, I LOVE Celtic Woman! I hope you thoroughly enjoy that concert! Love ALL your stash and I will have to make it a point to visit and see what all you do with your goodies! It looked like I noticed DIY texture paste on your desk? What's your recipe? I have a recipe that I use, but I don't like it so much. It seems to be too loose, no matter how much powder I put in it??? Any tidbits for me? Thanks for stopping in again! :) Blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, so sorry to hear you have caught Bobs cold, hope you recover in time to enjoy the concert.

Hi Kelly and Ozark neighbor!
ReplyDeleteNot sure where Birch Tree, Mo. is, but the middle of nowhere sounds pretty nice to me these days! I love Pitt pens and go through quite a bit of them. Your desk looks happy and busy and that's what really matters, right? Take care.. chicken soup!
So sorry to hear you caught your hubby's cold. The only time my hubby wants to share is when it is a cold. I had his last weeks so I know what a bother it is. That burlap will be lots of fun to play with. I agree about so many of our crafting items--so expensive in the one department but not so bad in another. Crazy how that is. Thanks for the visit earlier. Someday all our stuff will be put away in our new house. PJ #60
ReplyDeleteSame here with feeling poorly . I'm just getting over Flu & a lung infection. Happy woyww Jill#10
ReplyDeleteHope you are soon feeling better, Kelly, and up to looking at that wonderful stash you have there on your desk.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I hope you feel better in time for your concert!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had fun shopping at Hobby Lobby. There are some great bargains to be found there, not to mention the 40% off coupon they have weekly lol.
Have a great week

Gosh I feel all famous and stuff, thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have recovered from the cold and were able to enjoy the Celtic Woman concert. I've only been able to see them on TV, but also own a CD of theirs which I love to listen to. Such fun play things you were able to scoop up. Hugs, Maggie

A very creative workspace, I totally agree about buying fabric, the problem is it never stops at the thing you went in for! Cara x
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you've got a cold, Kelly - hope you are now feeling better. I'm so glad mine didn't develop into anything! I love your new stash, and esp. the gorgeous burlap in different colours. I often source stuff away from the art/craft outlets because you can get MUCH better bargains that way! I love the video of the beautiful book - what fun collecting all the stuff, and the paint samples make good backgrounds. I can see the attraction!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your two lovely comments. It's been a fairly busy week again. We are 100% attached to our 2 lovely kitties. Your poor little Goddess with her asthma - it's good to be able to cuddle them and comfort them when they are poorly.
Hope you've had a good week. I don't think I'm going to have much to show for the next WOYWW - haven't been near the studio!
Happy very belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #53
I hope you enjoyed the Celtic Women concert - we saw them a few years ago and they were wonderful! Your desk looks creatively messy - perfect! Good idea buying the burlap from the fabric store, it's amazing what some companies think we will pay for little bits and scraps of things! Thank you for visiting my blog and for your uplifting support! It's always welcome! Lindart #67
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly, I will be off to check out Shannon on YouTube in a sec.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

Hi Kelly, thanks for the visit to mine. I realise I am rather late but just managing to clear my emails. We were back on Sunday but just been busy since then. Happy crafting, Angela x
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my last week's WOYWW Kelly! Would love to see your art apron if you blog about it! I have no idea what to do with mine at this point! Love the business of your desk!
