WOYWW #470

I have been MIA here for a couple of weeks. Once the internet began to work like it was supposed to last Wednesday, I've been busy playing catch-up and getting the SU site on track. Since it is my business, I'm determined to post every day over there. As soon as I have a few days ahead over there, I'll be back to posting here. Bob came home Thursday so you know where the rest of my time is spent. hehe

That empty space you see is where my laptop was sitting when I went to bed last night. I have the month-long posts for the music promotion blog to put up so I'm in the recliner for the majority of the today

The yellow envelope and the packet on top are from the Card Chicks. The top stack is the embellishment packet is from the May kit. I still have those cards to put together. I did the glaze pen coloring, set them aside to  dry and forgot about them. The yellow envelope is the June kit that came yesterday.

The spools of ribbon are retired SU from the past couple of years. I'm trying to decide the best way to store them. The washi tape to the left is also retired from last year. I'd put them in the Washi drawers but I don't think I have room. I may keep SU separate in a box of some type.

Lastly, the cards I made yesterday that will be coming up on the SU blog.. the top one is there TODAY

I've also started removing the daily page from my planner and putting it on a clipboard. I'm testing this route as I don't seem to pull the bulky planner out daily, resulting the planner not being used effectively. The clipboard will still allow me to keep my current page handy without the weight. I'll keep you posted.

That's it for my desk this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

Creative Blessings!
~Kelly

  4. Wow super busy but it also sounds like a lot of fun!
Storing all our bits is the biggest challenge we all face.. I hope you find a good solution for your ribbon and washi tape.

  5. You have a lot on your plate (or should I say laptop!). I think staying busy is very important, though. I post every day, so I know the rigors of it all. Glad to read your husband is home, too.

I don't use a planner, but I write in my calendar every night. I think what works best for YOU is most important. Happy WOYWW from # 2.

  7. I think as far as storing the ribbons go, it depends on how you look for things when you create? ( if you have to make work projects with current products they are separate right?)
I am not a demo but, when I am doing a dt gig I do keep that mfg apart from the rest of my things ( which are mostly sorted by color because, I don't think you need a metal lump here I think you need something red there kind of a thought)
so, I guess it depends on how big your non current things (stash) is besides the ribbons. if there is enough to sort it all by color or if to me that pile of ribbon looks like it would fit pretty easy in a colorful bowl or basket where you could leave it out to remember to use it? just some random thoughts. hopefully things will be less busy soon Kelly. ~Stacy #32

  8. Good idea with the planner. I really want one, but I just know I won’t use t or decorate it or refer to it! I’m just attracted to all the stuff I could have for it! I’m like Stacey, keep specific products for DT or demo together so I can’t cross pollinate supplies..I understand SU are really strict about this now.
