WOYWW #474

I hope those of you in the United States have fun plans for today. I did. My intention was to get all of my work done yesterday so I could play all day today. Yesterday was a pain day so I spent a majority of the day either in the recliner or in bed.

Today is off to a much better start!

My desk is a disaster. I have to get the space cleared before I dive into projects today. Amongst the crafting items to be finished, you'll see where I unpacked my travel computer bag -swapping things out for other things in preparation for a trip last weekend. I attended a writers conference in Springfield MO last Saturday. Had a great time. Took advantage of being in the city to do some shopping.

I apologize for not getting round last week. Bob got the call on Wednesday to head back to work on Friday. So we spent the rest of Wednesday and all of Thursday hangin' out, going to dinner and prepping both of us for or respective road trips on Friday. Bob is back on the boat and I am back to my schedule so I'll be round to visit this week.

Many of you asked about my camera last week. I have a FujiFilm 5x 200 zoom. Shoots HD movies and is 15 megapixals. I bought the camera about 8 years ago for $18 at Walmart. The price now ranges between $29-$35 Yikes.  I think I'll look on Amazon today.

That's my story for this week. We are still sweltering here. So tired of the heat and humidity. June was a record month for us. I can't wait for August LOL- ya know, our 'hot' month.

I hope you are comfortable and crafting in your space.

That's it for my desk this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

Creative Blessings!
~Kelly

  3. Hi Kelly, happy 4th July, hope you enjoy the day and you’re feeling better. our family are busy packing for their trip to the UK and then Spain.
Your desk looks busy, don’t you just hate putting things away, takes longer than the project you’ve worked on sometimes!
    Happy WOYWW.

  4. Hi Kelly, happy 4th of July my friend. Hope it's a good one for you. There's no such thing as an untidy desk they're just occupied with love. It is just very slightly cooler here today which I'm pleased about as I don't really like the heat though it has been a good excuse not to do the ironing Lol! Have a great woyww, Angela x10x

  5. Happy Independence Day, Kelly. I love the blinky. It is fun. Sorry to read about your pain. I know how trying that can be. Life often gets in the way of crafting. But today is a good day, it seems.

You have a lot going on at your desk. I suspect it will clean up quickly, though. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  14. Sorry you weren't feeling so well, Kelly. I'm in the same boat at the moment after an incredibly busy few days, needing to crash out on the recliner and rest as much as possible! The heat doesn't help. Hope you've managed to clear your desk now. I think that transition between events is difficult, when you empty your bags and then have to re-pack them and get everything organised!

Thanks for your visit and your sweet comment - yes, our kitties are inseparable and it's one of the things I love about them, too. They are two sweet little sisters! They love to play together, sleep together, and just hang out together. Glad you like the necklaces. We went back again on Thursday and I got 2 more - and some new clothes too. I've blogged about it now.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  15. Thanks for your visit Kelly! It sounds like it's hot everywhere (on the Northern hemisphere, anyway) - we've been suffering in the heat as well and no rain for the past one month at least. The grass is all yellow and burnt out. Happy belated Independence Day - hope you had a great time playing! zsuzsa #26

  16. Sorry to hear you had a bad day healthwise. Hope you continue to feel better.
I don't suppose our heat is anything like yours but we are suffering - close to me we have had moorland on fire for over two weeks now - dreadful for the poor firefighters and I just feel so sad for all the animals, birds, plants and insects that have been affected.
Glad you had a good time with Bob before he headed out. Precious times!
    Love your desk shot.
Hugs, Neet xx (Thanks for visiting me - sorry I am so late)
