WOYWW #319 - Seize the Moment and The Little Bits

Wednesday already?! Where does the week go? This is our weekly snoop at what other artists are up to. We'd love to see what you are working on... or accumulating. Both work LOL For all the details, check in with our sweet Miss Julia at StampingGround.

This week, I am dedicating my WOYWW to dear Eliza. She left us all to suddenly last week. We were a lot alike. Like me, Eliza loved DOING. She seemed to always be busy. Her creativity and how she saw things always left me in awe - as you'll see from ther latest ATC to Julia when you stop over at Stampin Ground. You will be missed, dear Eliz, but we will continue to be inspired by your artistic legacy and zest for life. Blessings on you journey.

My desk is full of the stuff from my shopping trip to Hobby Lobby last night (well except for the fabric to the left you'll see tomorrow and the paper trimmer in its near permanent home these days hehe)

The Memory Keeper was on clearance. I now have two - one for each of my granddaughters so I can start organizing their albums. the 12x12 paper keepers is what I went after. Those will hold the SU catalogs I showed you HERE. Aside from the Tim Holtz item I found in the clearance, I found the cute little bits in the jewelry isle. They are from Blank Slate - a category from Hobby Lobby as best I can find. There are ephemera pieces such as miniture playing cards and postage stamps. The whole Traditions line (which Blank Slate is part of) was all 50% off this week.

I also picked up a couple packages of 4x6 pocket pages from Snap only to discover they will not work in The Paper Studios Binder. I wanted them for a seed packet storage album but will have to use these in another project and pick up actual TPS next time I go... yet another unfinished task. :: sigh :::

So what's on your desk? Inquiring minds want to know :-)
Creative Blessings!
Kel

  1. Oh, that's a beautiful sentiment about Eliza...I loved her too and shall miss her a lot. She was so full of energy and creativity....it's unfair that she's been taken so soon.

  2. Thanks for sharing your latest haul from Hobby Lobby. I was so excited when we got one in our town. Now I'm afraid to go (it's hard on the budget, you know). I can live vicariously through others though! As far as inquiring minds wanting to know what is on my desk.... I'd like to know that too. It seems like I lot more than I remember putting there! 4. I didn't take part this week. Just got home from my trip last night. My desk looks the same as last week! :) Looks like you scored lots of goodies at HL. I am lucky HL is about 3 miles from my house. Or maybe that is a bad thing! LOL

  11. Looks like you will be kept busy with your new stash of goodies. We don't have Hobby Lobby but we have a similar chain called Hobbycraft and it's so easy to spend there. Enjoy your new stuff.

  13. Hi Kelly, fabulous new stash there. We need Hobby Lobby to come to the UK! Or maybe not, lol. Lovely tribute to Eliza, she was a lovely lady, wasn't she? We will all miss both her and Yoda. Maybe DeDe will keep Yoda's pics appearing. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #13 xxx

  15. I think we are all devastated by the death of Eliza, Kelly - I know I shall miss her weekly posts and her lovely pics and stories about Yoda, who was like our kitty's pen pal across the globe! She will be greatly missed, and her passing is such a wake up call, that we should make every moment count, and try to make a difference by our lives.

    Congratulations on the lovely new stash! What fun it is unpacking it all and starting to PLAY!

    Thanks for your visit and your lovely comment. So glad you enjoyed visiting my desk this week, and I'm glad you like the card. I am feeling much better this week, but last week I was flattened with profound exhaustion from the chemo and was feeling a bit demoralised that despite the reduction in the dose, I was still feeling truly awful, but it has passed off a lot more quickly than last time, when I felt poorly for more or less the whole 3 weeks, so I can't complain! I met up with my fellow inmates from the hospital this a.m. - we kept each other going on the ward with all the laughs and became good friends. It was a real tonic for us all to meet up and we agreed how well we were all looking!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  16. Great stash on your desk! Crafters don't let much cause an upset, right? If you buy This for That and That doesn't work, then This just moves on for use in Something Else. We're clever that way. {grin}
    Thanks for your visit and have fun crafting.
