WOYWW 564 - A bit of Everything

Good morning, everyone!

Been a busy few hours around here. With everyone going into lock-down, trying to make sure we have everything we need just in case we join the foray, then yesterday with no internet thanks to rain most of the day....

Well, I'm a bit behind on a couple of things.

1 - Reindeer Club will post TOMORROW -3/26

2 - My desk for this week. I actually have 2 spots.

My desk yesterday. With no internet most of the day, I didn't even boot up the computer at all. Rain fell most of the day. By later afternoon I decided we'd make the quick run to town then I wouldn't have to leave the house today. The most productive part of the day was playing cards with Bob on and off all day.

Though I did get in some crafting. My ironing board mat is covered with an old flannel-backed table cloth. I used the space for spraying envelopes with Tattered Angels (See video on Monday's post HERE):

I got 21 tags painted for my March POB journal with April aka Pink Odd Bird. The tags were all cut using the 2nd largest die from Tim Holtz tags die set. I cut them from BelVita cookie boxes. I have a white side for journaling then painted the printed side with a Folk Art Metallic Purple.

3 - Finally, you guys heard of my story about meeting up with transport drivers last week. Here is Sonny (my right) and Miquel (my left)

I bought them lunch at McDonalds in the truck stop (To Go orders only) then we stood in the parking lot and visited through most of their 30 minute stop that wasn't supposed to happen LOL

And here's a bit of info for you. Never mess with a military transport load.
At some point over the weekend, an auto driver passed Sonny and gave him the finger, after which he proceeded to pull over in front of Sonny and hit his breaks. Mind you, Sonny's load was over 225,000 pounds he had to control or run over the guy! The after-effects would not have been pretty.
Sonny barely had his radio hung up from informing his escort than the auto driver was pulled over, removed from his car, put on the ground and hand-cuffed. You don't mess with the military.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

Creative Blessings!
~Kelly

  1. Hi Kelly. Sounds like you are doing well in the lockdown. I know you have said before you live some way out from the town - o yes, you need to know you have everything to hand in case you can't get out again in a hurry. I wish you well. Is hubby home for a while?
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.
