WOYWW #822

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I do apologize for missing last week. I got up way too early (like today) and didn't even think about our group until I had my head back on a pillow a few short hours later. I thought I'd get ahead of that today.

So here's my desk:

Not super exciting, is it?
Since I got the filming/ crafting corner organized, I've been really good about cleaning up after a project. This morning I'll be working on my Day 10 & Day 11 of the #dothe100dayproject. Are you playing along? If you are, please make sure to tell me in the comments.

If you don't know what the #dothe100dayproject is, the concept is to do something, anything, whatever your project for 100 days. I've tried several times in the past and dropped off around Day 5. This year I made it through Day 9 before yesterday just hit me. I slept in late (go figure!) then put Bob to work helping me move appliances in the laundry room for a deep clean. He had the heavy lifting because I had no energy to do anything. I did do the dusting, sweeping, mopping then let him move everything back. Between tasks we sat at the dining room table playing cards and Yahtzee. Yesterday must have been a low energy day for Bob as well since I won everything we played. ;-)

They say if you skip 1 day, you're okay. But if you skip 2 days in a row, you're doomed. So  my first task for today is to get Day 10 & Day 11 done before I do anything else (including maybe needing a nap).

My project is to make 100 tags - 10 in each of 10 themes. I'm using a card sketch as inspiration for each day's tag. I've posted in my FB group, Instagram, here and on the community tab of my YouTube channel if you want to check any of them out.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Sarah and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Sarah’sCraft Shed for all the details. Miss Sarah has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

 Creative Blessings!

~ Kelly

  1. Oh Kelly I do get it! This is why I can't commit to things that require attention every day. " skip 2 days in a row, you're doomed" made me LOL.

  3. Good luck with the challenge I just don't try them as I know I'd give up half way through.......probably less actually. I'll be watching to see how you get on. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x9x

  4. I do really admire people who stick to these challenges, it’s so not my cup of tea - I’ve never been a journal or diary keeper, just don’t have the willpower, lol! But I do really love a good game of Yahtzee, me and Rhys have got a tournament going at the moment and I’m eleven games up, woohoo!

  5. I am the worse at challenges over an extended period! I think I have too many interests to allow one thing to dominate my day. The only committment I made this year was to "attempt" to create for WOYWW each week and to tie that to my YouTube channel. So far, I have only had one miss. I have the utmost respect for people who can hold out! I am doing a 31 day planning challenge, but I write in my planner every day anyway so that is not a real challenge!

Good luck with your tags, please share your 100 day creations, I would love to see!

  6. Skip two days in a row and you're doomed. I think my problem is something like that with Wanderlust. I must get back to it!
Good luck with your 100 days project!
    Happy late WOYWW! Susan #17

  7. I don’t think it matters if you miss one or two days, some days are impossible so do a catch day. I know the idea is to do one every day, but allow yourself a little flexibility! A belated HappyWOYWW. Angela #14

  9. oh dear, miss a day or miss two and I'm doooomed! I'm wated to do ceri the crafters mixmediumMarch challenge, as I actually did his July one last year, every day! amzing for me... but because I'm house dog sitting AND my home is in total chaos as I'm having a new kitchen put in, I think I'll probably start in three weeks! so I am doomed! But I will hunt out the 100 day thing, there does seem to be a lot of them on at the moment! HApPy Sorry I'm late, WOyWW!? ((Lyn)) #13
