#12daysofdigis2020 - CATCHING UP!

Wow... did I fall off the wagon last week.

I've been so focused on seriously getting this house in order that all I managed was to get the projects done each day and the videos recorded/ uploaded. For me, this time with Bob gone is all about getting the house in order and decorating.

I'm providing you with a playlist for the #12daysofdigis2020  You can also see pictures of what I've been doing by following me on Instagram - KellysCreativeDreams and using the hastag. That will also bring you other great inspiration from the other elves.

12 DAYS OF DIGIS - Collab

Good morning, everyone!

Beginning today, I am jumping to a new track from our normal routine.

For the next twelve days, I'm taking part in a collab between DearJulieJulie and CaraBrandonCreations. Each lady has created a 12 Days of Digis digital kit. Links are in the descriptiob box of the video as well as here below the video.

There are several of us elves helping with the collaboration.

Each day we will take that day's numbered page from Julie and from Cara, mesh them together into beautiful creations. By the end of Day 12 we'll have plenty of lovely embellishments to fill a journal. I am doing mine as a 2-page spread each day so that on Day 13, we'll be doing a walk-through of the completed journal!

Then on Day 15, I'll begin my December Junk Journal Challenge.

I do have the Pink Christmas that I still want to do but things got off track. I didn't get to work on things as I'd hoped while I was traveling.

Good news!

Kassie delivered beautiful twin girls on Saturday night between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Malina Ray came in first then Neomia Marie twenty minutes later. Everyone is doing well.

I have to brag on Kassie for just a moment. 9 months pregnant, due any day and this woman cooked her first ever Thanksgiving dinner for 6!  Talk about a can-do attitude!

Okay. here's the introduction to the #12daysofdigis2020:

Here are the links to the two kits:

FRIDAY FREEBIE - Junk Journal Organization

Good morning, crafty friends!

Thank you for your patience while I spent time with Kassie and Matt. I've enjoyed getting to know the man she has chosen to have her children with, as well as his three from a previous marriage. As you read/ watch this today I am on my way back home. I'm stopping tonight to totally unwind and hopefully work on my writing. I stayed an extra day at Kassie's but I still want to be home by Sunday so that Bob and I can celebrate Thanksgiving before he heads back out on the boat Tuesday.

Today's video is all about how I have decided to organize the supplies for each current junk journal project. I'm using the ScrapRack tote that I bought over 15 years ago when I first met Tiffany Spalding and fell in love with The ScrapRack system.

Bob filmed the flip-through for me so that we could get the camera up high enough for you to see everything. I hope you enjoy and are inspired.

TEN MINUTE TUESDAY - Life Is Beautiful!

 Good morning, crafters!

Quick post before I dive back in to working on my  novel. I'm at a hotel but need to check out in about 3 hours. Before I do, though, I want to get more words written as I won't have another chance until Thursday.

For this week's card, I'm using Life Is Beautiful. I finally decided I needed a bare tree stamp, This makes a perfect fall card as most of the leaves are gone from the trees here. I've listed the dimensions below the video.

SKETCH – SC283

MONTHLY CHALLENGE - Let's Make A Tassel

 Good morning, crafters!

Quick post this morning as I get ready to leave for a writer's retreat.

I made the first of the fifteen elements... a tassel.

I wanted to make ROUND  paper beads but the process was too long for a single video so I'll come back to that technique.

Instead, I made a chipboard, charm, a paper charm and a strung bead charm.  Here's the video.

I'll see you back here tomorrow for Ten Minute Tuesday.

SHOUT OUT SATURDAY - Mini Challenge in the Challenge #1

 Good morning, crafty friends!

We have another beautiful day in the Ozarks. Bob and a friend of ours is helping to get the new cover on the greenhouse, I've been doing some laundry.

Okay, I've been up since 4:30 LOL

I've finished the mini challenge, glued trim into the baby albums, put some stuff away, folded laundry, got loads of laundry in various stages and dry-canned twelve jars of baking soda. To say I'm ready for a nap at 10:15 a,m. is an understatement. Just not going to happen.

Last night when I filmed this video I had started on the 6 required elements for the Mini Challenge in the Challenge #1. Those are what I finished this morning and will be showing you those on Monday as well as making the tassel.

Here's the video:

I'll see you back here tomorrow for Stampin' Up! Sunday when we will be making Christmas cards.

FRIDAY FREEBIE - My Kit for the #nftjjc

 Hi everyone!

Coming in way late today. Since we were gone all day yesterday, I didn't get the video recorded until this morning. Of course, after my 'free' time on the bandwidth so this fifteen minute video took 5 hours!!!! yeah, I've been behind on recording all week. That's changing. I'm going to record tomorrow's video right after supper - if not before and have it ready to go at O-dark-thirty tomorrow as it should.

Here's a walk through of the items I'm using for my November Favorite Things Junk Journal Challenge:

I'm either doing the Mini Challenge #1 for tomorrow's video or one of the elements for the journal. I hope you'll come back and see!

DESIGN TEAM THURSDAY - Pink Christmas Card

 Good morning, Crafty friends!

Okay, I know it's almost 7 p.m. here in the Ozarks. I got up this morning, recorded the video then set it to upload but we had to take Bob's truck in to get some work done. Shopping trip ensued since we had to make the drive in to town (50 miles away) and I've been home about an hour.

So goes my life most days once Bob gets home. But that's okay, I'd rather have him home.

Here's the card I made for today. Apolozing for the shiny light on the left but best I had tonight.

I used Petal Pink cardstock and one of the large tag images from dearjuliejuie's Pink Christmas kit. Link is in the description box of the video.

Tomorrow, we need to prep the greenhouse for new plastic. But I should have a video up much earlier. I'll be showing off the 15 items I've chosen for my November Favorite Things Junk Journal Challenge. There's still plenty of time to play.  You'll find the details from Julie HERE

Until then...

WOYWW #595

Last week, Margaret showed us a picture of a sign she had taken several years ago. The name on the sign reminded me of the name of a lake in Massachusetts. I heard the name on an episode of My Lottery Dream Home where I couple had won a $1 dollars and were looking for their 'dream home'. The prononuiation of the name took host David Bromstad the entire episode to finally get right.  Thanks for the memory, Margaret.

Here's the name.:  lake chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg

Bob will be home late this afternoon. I have tons to do.

I will try to get to as many desks as possible. One of things I've discovered I can do in the mornings while videos are uploading.

Here are my desks for this week:

Filming desk. Must be cleared to film videos this afternoon

Work Table. Remnants of the baby albums still there as well as leftovers from cutting Etsy packaging bag headers/ stickers/ address labels.
The box in the back center is a personal journaling project I'm back to working on.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

November Favorite Things Junk Journal Challenge Tips

  Good morning, crafty friends!

I know there's supposed to be a card today but I felt this video was more timely.

Julie has gained a lot of new members to the junk journal community. Many of them are coming into this month's challenge with questions. There's even some confusion amongst veteran members so I thought I'd do a video to help iron out some wrinkles so we can move forward with the challenge and have FUN!

If you're joining us, print out your Elements list - available in the monthly challenge FB group - a highlighter and let's get started playing!

With the fall-back last night, I was up at 4 a.m. but that's okay. I have the video for today up on time and I've scheduled several blog posts on my cauldron blog for the entire month!

WOYWW #595

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Wow! Hard to believe that in five short weeks we will be celebrating our 600th WOYWW... all because we feel safe in sharing not only what we're up to but what a messy (or on the rare occasion) work space.

Here's mine with the aftermath of the baby album project.

Not a lot of change from last week except for one ofthe 'completed' albums. After I'd filmed the video I realized I'd not included any of the pretty fabric I had selected so I'm going to find a couple of places then everything needs cleared for the next big project.... finishing past October Daily albums and prepping for the November junk journal challenge with Dearjuliejulie.

Here's the video from last week:

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. TEN-MINUTE TUESDAY - Card Chicks

 Good morning, crafty friends!

It's Card Chicks Tuesday. Our October kit came from Sue Brandon. In lieu of stamped images she sent us a sketch and the kit then turned us loose on our own creativity.

I knew as soon as I saw the kit I wanted to use Merry Cafe (retired SU). Here's the card I came up with:

In the video below you'll see me put the little pumpkin down next to the big one. After I'd gone to bed last night I thought it would work best on the cup so I moved it before taking the photo.

Goodness, tomorrow is WOYWW. We are creeping closer to having been together for 600 weeks without skipping a beat! That's a long time for a blog hop to last, and it's all due to our fearless leader, Julia and the amazing team of bloggers that can't wait to meet up each week! There's always room for more bloggers to show off their desks. Come join us!  Click HERE then click on Julia's link of how to link up with us.

MONTHLY CHALLENGE - Kassie's Baby Album

 They are DONE!

I had so much fun and pleasure putting these albums together. A little on the gator-mouth side but if you tie the ribbon really tight, you don't even notice lol.

I do need to finish filling in the rings today. By10:30 last night when I'd filmed, I'd been up since 4:30 a.m. and my fingers were tired of cooperating with me.

I hope you enjoy the album flip-through. Let me know in the comments below what you may have done differently. Thanks for watching!

STAMPIN' UP! SUNDAY - Gnome for the Holidays Tags

 Good  morning, crafty friends.

As of today, we are 8 weeks til Christmas ::: gulp :::

I saw a video of youtube friend, Deb Houck, last Friday and she was using the Gnome for the Holidays set. She said something and my mind got an instant flash of I need 60+ tags for cookie trays!

So that's what set this week's video in to motion

I love this stamp set! You really can change a couple of these images to fit any occasion throughout the year.

Here's this week's video on how the tags came together:

You will find a complete supply list, with product links in the description box of the video.

WOYWW #594 - I'm Back!

 Goodmorning, crafty friends!

I had the most precious email from Margaret last week asking about me. She'd not seen me at our weekly WOYWW meet-up and just wanted to check on me.

How sweeet that even though there is a gigantic pond between us, my neighbor wanted to check on me. Thank you, dear friend.

My desk is a bit covered at the moment:

Baby Albums! Across the top back (almsot out of view) are the papers I'm making pages from. Down the left side are the embellishments I've made and the right hand side is just left overs to do something with (Put away, maybe? LOL)

For the past several weeks my table has been all about First Year albums for two precious little girls to be born around Thanksgiving.
If you've been following me for awhile you've heard me talk about Kassie - the little girl from my daycare that became 'like a daughter' from the very beginning.  By the time Kassie turns 23 in December, she will be holding twin girls.  She used the Marco Polo app (like facetime) that I was going to be a grandma to twins. She's already dubbed us Mimi and Pop.

I combined the making of the albums with the October junk journal challenge from DearJulieJulie to construct the journals so each of the 11 tags/ cards and 11 embellishments were made in duplicate - except for the Sticker Embellishment. I made 12 of those for each album

If you have a few minutes (the video is about 18 min. long) I walk you through the elements. If not, come back next week and I'll have a walk through of one of the completed albums.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to

EDITORIAL CALENDAR PART 2 - Social Media

Good morning, crafty friends!

Last week, I showed you my Slim Classic Happy Planner that I use for my editorial calendar.
Today, I show you how I track my social media in the same planner

If you're wanting to build a brand and a business, there's more to the plan than just making sure you post to your YouTube, website or blog. You also need to make sure you are ADVERTISING.

I don't know about you but if I don't have a check-off of some type, I don't remember if I posted a picture to Instagram or my blog.

I wasn't able to discern if the stamps were Kelly Purkey or not. I'll be able to tell you when I can get to that corner of my office. Hopefully, by next Wednesday's planner post.

10-MINUTE TUESDAY - A 20 Minute Card!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Yeah - for some reason this card took twenty minutes! I have no clue why. The dimensions were figured out ahead of time and everything was right there on the desk in front of me.

This card is actually a Card Chicks kit from February. I kept losing track of Barb's envelope! So glad I found it as I used the cards as birthday cards!

I started with a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Blushing Bride cardbase

The Sahara Sand cardstock mat is 5-1/4" x 4"

I cut the first DSP paper to 2-1/4" x 3-1/4"

The next piece of Sahara Sand is cut 3-7/8" x 2-7/8"

Layer with a piece of DSP cut to 2-3/4" x 3-3/4"

Image is trimmed to 3-1/4" x 2-1/8" The Blushing Bride mat is trimmed to be 1/8" wider all the way around. I did this by gluing the image onto the mat, then trimming to 1/8" on all four sides. You want just a shadow to let the image stand out from the card.

Watch the video to see how the pieces come together to make the card:

Remember the Designer Series Paper sale on Stampin' Up! through October 31st.
You will find me by Find My Demonstrator and putting Kelly Henkins - Birch Tree MO in the search box.

I'll be back tomorrow with Part 2 of the Editorial Calendar video.

MONTHLY CHALLENGE MONDAY - #osbjjc - Baby Albums

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm getting stuff done up ahead of time for the week as best I can. Bob and I are here and there celebrating our birthdays so I wanted to make sure crafty stuff was shared.

For Monthly Challenge Monday this week, I'm sharing the particulars for the October Stashbuster Junk Journal Challenge 2020 with @Dearjuliejulie Junk Journal Everyday. I have two baby girl 'First Year' albums to get done by the 14th of this month so this challenge is perfect for keeping me on track.

I'm also sharing not one, but two happy mail envelopes I received over the weekend.

I give up! LOL I've flipped this picture mutliple times, resized it and to top it off the thumbnail you see here is NOT the one on the YouTube screen.
What you see here is an upside down picture of the components for my October kit. On YouTube you get a thumbnail of some of the Happy Mail I received.

I'll be back tomorrow with a 10-Minute Tuesday card that only took 20 minutes! LOL

DESIGN TEAM THURSDAY - Roses Roses Digital Kit

Good morning, crafty friends!

We're kicking off a brand new month - my favorite month - with a birthday card using the Roses Roses kit from Dearjuliejulie.

I am thrilled to be a design team member and love all of her kits but I think the roses digital kits (there are 4 so far) are among my favorites.

You'll find her Etsy shop HERE and specifically the Roses Roses kit HERE

I can't remember if I've mentioned that I am taking part in the Dollarween Tree Challenge with Jeneen at Lipstick Legion Craft on YouTube.  My tree is almost finished.

For Friday Freebie, I'll be showing you how to make ghost ornaments for the tree using medical gauze and white ball ornaments from the Dollar Tree. I hope you'll come back.

If you'd like to check out the Dollarween Tree Challenge, you'll find the link HERE. There is still plenty of time to join in. Deadline to post your tree is All Hallow's Eve.

CARD CHICKS! - 10-Minute Tuesday!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm combining this with my 10-minute Tuesday. Seriously, when you have a kit in front of you it's easy to pull a sketch card idea and run with it.

This month's kit came from TerrySeaman. She's been a card chick member longer than I have. She put together a fun kit:

The  image is from Taylored Expressions called 'Mane Event'. All the images were stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth using Memento Tucedo Black ink.

The designer series paper is Pebbles happy horray, party animal, candy shoppe with American Crafts balloons.  Enamel dots are Pebbles Sprinkles, The Paper Shoppe red/ yellow/ green

The ribbon is Celebrate it red polka dot, SU Tangerine, Offray Blue Polka Dot. She also included a small 'action wobble' to add a bit of movement.

While these cards were do last week, I just wasn't getting any crafting in. Even if I had, I doubt I'd have gotten it uploaded to either the group, my Splitcoast Gallery or done the YouTube video.

Here's the video in how the card came together:

MONTHLY CHALLENGE - Flashback to February 2019

Since I was sick all last week, not a lot of crafting got done. Seriously, I took four days to put (2) 100-light strings of lights on the Halloween tree for the Halloween Tree Challenge coming up on Friday.

Someone asked in one of Julie's morning videos chats about using fabric in our journals. I mentioned that my very first journal with Dear Julie Julie was the February Fabric Junk Journal Challenge. I had trouble uploading the flip-through video so never showed the final product. I thought this was a good time to do that.

If you were with me way back then (hehe) you may have seen THIS blog post. So give a quick read then enjoy the video.

Stampin' Up! SUNDAY - Halloween Decor!

I apologize for the lack of posts all last week. By Saturday evening I had a bit of a scratchy throat that by Sunday had turned in to a full-blown sinus infection. As I type this on Sunday afternoon (today), I am able to function with DayQuil and am beginning to feel human again. I still have a few days to go I think before I can do this without meds but I have to get back to work!

Today's video is a reproduction of an item in the Holiday mini catalog - pg 52. Don't have a catalog? You can view on line HERE. You can also request a catalog by using the contacting me on Instagram @KellysCreativeDreams.

Between not having shot a video in a week and being sick, I'm a bit shaky but I really like how this project turned out. I hope you'll give it a try.

SHOUT OUT SATURDAY with #SPECTRUM ART & Happy Mail!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

49* this morning in my part of the Ozarks. I have to wonder how much longer my garden will last at this rate. I think I'm ready to pull up, let go and start prepping the ground for next spring.

Today is Shout Out Saturday.

I had to laugh after I did the video. I did not red the note from Madi at Spectrum Art until after I'd done my reveal in the video, stating that y'all needed to check out her channel and that I would have a link in the description box!

I read the card that said if I did 3 things I would go into a monthly drawing for $10 to spend in her shop!

1 - #SPECTRUMART in the subject line

2 - Show off my purchase

3- Link to her channel.

I'll let you know if I win or not. The end of the month isn't that far away! Wait til you see what I got fromm her shop this time!!

So here's the video with the items from Madi as well as the AWESOME happy mail from my friend, Darlene Cave in Canada. I am so blessed!

Here's the video:

I will see you back here tomorrow for Stampin' Up! Sunday. We are making a simple piece of Halloween Decor. Did I mention I was ready for fall? hehe

FRIDAY FREEBIE - Closer Look at Scrapbook Paper Haul -WIN!!!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Wow! Sorting the papers out yesterday took me almost an hour. There are over 210 sheets of fabulous papers to play with - each one purchased with a project in mind. Guess I'm going to be busy.

I hope you enjoy looking at all the lovely papers. Links to some of the companies mentioned can be found in the description box of the video.

WIN! WIN! WIN!
So, at .39 cents per sheet, how much money do you think I spent?
Leave your answer in the comments below.
Closest without going over will WIN!
Winner announced next Friday - 9/25/20
Good Luck!

This thumbnail isn't the one you'll see when you go to YouTube. I changed it because of the pixelation you see here. I'll work on that. Getting these things right is a learning process. :-)

I''ll see you tomorrow with Shout Out Saturday and a quick card project!

DESIGN TEAM THURSDAY - Introduction

 Goodmorning, crafty friends!

Last spring I was invited to join Dear Julie Julie's design team. I was thrilled and up to the challenge, except that was about the time the studio was in major topsy turvey as I'd just moved everything out to begin the deep clean/ re-organization.

I'm finally in a place where I can get to projects using her beautiful kits. Today's video is a bit of an introduction about what is expected and what I'll be working on the rest of this month.

10-MINUTE TUESDAY - Teapotter's Card

Good morning, crafty friends!

Today I'm launching the 10-minute Tuesday series. Does this mean we'll make a card in 10 minutes? Probably not, but we will come close.

Through this series I'll show you some tips and tricks for putting a card together quickly.

Remember, a card doesn't have to be intricate or fancy. The sentiment from both your heart and what you put in the card is what truly matters.

For the purpose of videos, I will always be a week behind for Teapot Tuesday. That mean's that today's card was last week's call out.

Harold was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He and his wife Paula are shocked and saddened. So we're sending cards of encouragement with a big Texas feel. They live in Conroe, TX.

Here is my video for today:

If you'd like to join us in sending uplifting cards to Harold and Paula, you can see the information here on Splitcoast Stampers.

MONTHLY CHALLENGE MONDAY! - Pink Ribbon

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Every Monday I'll bring you up to date on the current Monthly Challenge with DearJulieJulie.

This month we are busting our stash of supplies to create a journal. I'm working on my Pink Ribbon journals that I want to put in the shop by the end of the month.

When I first started this journal, I had planned to purchase a Pink Ribbon digital kit from Etsy. Then I got an idea - I'd make my own background paper!!

In today's video I show you how to create simple background pages using stamps, stencils and inks. Come play along!

Stampin' Up! Sunday - Clearance Haul & LSS Close-out!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I hope your Sunday is going well.  Today I'm bringing you a video showcasing some great items from the Stampin' Up! Clearance you won't want to miss as well as a peek at some of the things I picked up at the Local Scrapbooking Store close-out.

Many have already asked to see the papers more in detail. I'll get them sorted out this week and bring you a closer look at those in the Friday Freebie video.

For now, let's see what I hauled this week!

YOUTUBE- Shout Out Saturday + Video

 Good morning, crafty friends.

Here's this week's Shout Out Saturday video. I also share a quick flip through of the August Assembly Line Junk Journal Challenge.

NOTE: There will be a short video coming soon showing JUST the journal. I'll need a better video for the Etsy shop. I also failed to have the tassel on this journal. They tassels were made for all three journals, I just failed to attach one to this journal.

Tomorrow is a double haul video.

1 - Stampin' Up! (mostly clearance items you might want to grab)

2 - Paper and Sizzix die haul from local scrapbooking store going out of business.

I hope you'll stop back by!

ONLY MINOR CHANGES TO COME

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I told you on Monday I'd be bringing you up to date as to what I want to do here. Really, not a lot is changing.

For my creative business I will be showcasing things on Instagram, YouTube and this blog. A few things will also be in my gallery on Splitcoast Stampers - kind of a cross-polination thing if you will.

So here's the 'new' line-up:

MONDAY

Monthly Challenge - I'll showcase progress on the Monthly Challenges with DearJulieJulie and Pam's Paper Outpost (I need to REALLY catch up there!)

TUESDAY

Teapot Tuesday (SCS), CardChicks (SCS the 21st), Tip/ Technique (Possibly Paper Outpost items)

WEDNESDAY

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday. I have really missed my friends at Julia's Stampin' Ground! This will give me the opportunity to show you not only my worksurface but what I have in progress

THURSDAY

This one is changing. I will be devoting Thursdays to Design Team stuff so that Julie knows where I'm posting those things.

FRIDAY

This will still be Friday Freebie but with a couple of minor changes. I'll be showing what I'm working on but for the most part, Monthly Challenge items will remain on Mondays. You just don't know what will show up here. hehe

SATURDAY

Shout Out Saturday and something to play with

SUNDAY

Stampin' Up! Sunday will remain. Some days the focus will be on cards but also could be a scrapbook layout or other fun project.

The only thing that may alter the Schedule is for Reindeer Club on the 25th of each month.

On a quick note, I was supposed to have a video today but I just could not get things to come together yesterday. The Final flip-through of the August journal will be combined with Shout Out Saturday, tomorrow.  Thank you for your patience.

HITTING RESET - Good Changes Coming!

Today's post is all about that big red button. Kind of reminds me of Red Nose Day from Walgreens.

I've sat for over six months,  not doing much of anything. Not even completing most of the journals I have started through Julie's challenges. Why?

Well, the reason finally came to me last weekend. I haven't been using my blog/ editorial boards or my planners since the end of February... when I started the reorganization of the studio/ office.

I am a VERY visual person. Even during my days of selling Christmas Around the World, House of Lloyd and Undercover Wear whenever there was a promotion, I would buy a sheet of poster board and create a chart to track my progress towards a goal.

Saturday, I pulled out mynotepad and decided there were changes to be made.

1- work only with blogs that bring me joy.
I had six blogs. I made the definitive decision to close the Living Through Weightloss.
I find being motivated hard on the blog when there are no responses to posts... and only a hand full of readers. I thought that through my journey I could inspire others. I've gotten to the point where my time is too valuable for something that is not having any affect on me or others. As of today, that blog will be closing by end of the month - with the last post being today.

2 - Still In Debate
I started the Ozarks Journal blog back when I first met the Polish Sinfonia and needed a place to post pictures from the grade school students so that the orchestra members could all go look at them. I still like the blog idea but I'm making a couple of changes.
I want to keep talking about prepping, my garden and household. I was talking 'household' on the weightloss blog, after all a clean house does make for a better self-journey but something in me decided I could keep the household with the Ozarks Journal. I mean, I LIVE in the Ozarks. LOL So OJ will be more about my corner of the Ozarks and our home here.

3- Staying on Task
This required evaluating what I really want to do.
I want to write
I want the Etsy shop or some other sales form to destash my stuff and let it bring joy to others.
For that reason, I am putting a more solid YouTube stream in place, getting my shop open and keeping THIS blog but with a few changes. I'll be talking about those on Friday.

4 - More time to craft and to write.
I still have book series I want/ need to write. I'm starting back to a regular writing schedule next week. Hopefully, by the time Bob comes home I will have a routine where even if I only take thirty minutes, the words will flow.

Overall Goals
To create beautiful things while destashing our home
To stay more on Task
To write more books
To have a financial plan in place that has the house paid off in two years.

I'm not saying these goals will be easy, but with visuals in place  I have a much better shot

I'm spending the rest of this week getting posts written/ scheduled, batch-recording videos and putting the office back together from company last week.
I will see you back here on Friday (September 11 to talk about the new schedule and give you a final flip-through of my Ausgust Assembly Line Junk Journal Challenge journal.

until then...

CARD CHICKS - July

I have three cards to show you today from the July Card Chicks kit.  Everything is included in the kit for us to use except the base. This month, the papers are from The Paper Studio as are the enamel dots. The ribbon is Offray. The stamp is by Deadbeat Designs.

You may or may not know that all stamp companies have an Angel Policy about how their stamps can be used. Deadbeat Designs policy is a bit unusual.

as long as you don't mechanically reproduce my images I won't release the dogs. So your hand-stamped cards and crafts are fine with me but if you make the Forbes 500, I may be giving you a call one day!

For this first one, I chose Cherry Cobbler. I also used Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin' Blends

Card number two, I kind of went off-grid with the color for my poppies. I chos So Saffron for the base and Stampin' Blends.

The third card uses Poppy Parade for the base and the Stampin' Blends.

I have a fourth card laid out but not put together. In December we don't receive a kit. Instead, we pull out leftovers from kits and use those for our December challenge. I have lots of left overs from previous kits and my plan (but you know what they say about plans) is to make 2 a day from each remaining kits items. We shall see.

Last post until Friday. My hip is really fighting me. I did okay yesterday but today I'm back to the nerve really pinching and not wanting to let me walk comfortably. I can only imagine what my hip will be like should I get to mow this afternoon. So dreading that task.

Creative Blessings!
