MAKE IT MAIL IT MONDAY - Happy Halloween!

 Good morning, friends!

By the time you read this I will be on the road for a 7-day trip. Bob is staying home to take care of the critters. One draw back to having dogs & cats is that we can't travel together.

I'm sharing another card from the Card Chicks kit from last week. Here's a reminder of what we're working with:

I only had time for one card this week:

The video for this will post next week as I'm doing videos up ahead so they'll run while I'm gone.
No post next Monday (August 5) as I will be on my way home.

MAKE IT MAIL IT MONDAY - Trick Or Treat!

 Good morning, friends!

I am typing this at 3:30 a.m. Have no clue why I'm awake but hoping to nap a bit more before the day really starts.

I'm back in the Card Chicks box with an envelope from Suzy, our fearless group leader, from 2022. The envelope was never opened. I sometimes wonder, what kept me so buys I couldn't do a monthly card envelope. But I'm busting through them.

Here's the kit:

With the exception of the purple paper (Bazzil), the papers are from The Paper Studio. The die cut is a Tim Holtz and the stamped images from a Recollections (Michaels) set (Suzy had no clue on the name - to quote her 'yes, it's that old.)

I colored all of the images with Stampin' Blends. You'll see those colors listed in the description box of the video linked at the bottom of the post.

Card 1:

Card 2:

While the witch is adorable, I fell in love with the trio of pumpkins. I glued the sentiment flat to the cardstock then brought the jack-o-lanterns up on dimensionals so they appear to be sitting on the 'fence'.

Here's the video showing how they came together:

MAKE IT MAIL IT MONDAY

 Good morning, crafty friends.

I'm a little late this morning as I had to create the cards first. I spent the past three days at an on-line writing conference. So much information to absorb. I'll be rewatching many of the presentations.

The envelope I chose today came from Joyce. I can't tell you how long the kit was mailed as apparently, I tore off the postage stamp for a journal. LOL Go figure!

I also failed to take a picture of the kit but in the cards you'll see a southwestern theme with patterned paper that appears to be straw bales and a lime green micro dot print,. Then she provided us with some stamped sentiments and the longhorn skull. She also included some cute cactus washi that I've trimmed the inside with and have just enough to add to the envelopes when I mail.

In both cards, I tore the straw patterned paper for a bit more rugged texture.

Card 1:

For this one, I incorporated all of the pieces from the kit and mounted on Cinnamon card stock. I used a 1.25" scallop punch and a 1" circle punch for the sentiment. The words were all stamped rather close together so small circles it is!  I colored the feather in L. Gray Granite and used L. Pineapple Punch for the flower.  The skull was adhered with dimensionals.

Card 2:

Since I used all of the micro dot on Card 1, I chose to go directly to a Bermuda Bay base. The sentiment is matted on Crushed Curry.

That's it for me today.
We have a beautiful day in the Ozarks with temps only in the upper 70s before heat returns. I'm spending most of the day outside getting the tomato plants mulched, the soaking tank set up and maybe some brush burning.

I'll see you tomorrow with a Tag Tuesday video link up.

MAKE IT - MAIL IT - Fairy Challenge Cards

 Good morning, crafty friends.

My schedule is always off kilter when Bob is home. Combine that with the fact I was supposed to be gone last wee (the trip didn't happen), I am just now sitting down determined to be on track this week. Bob leaves Tuesday.

Today's cards are ones I made a couple of weeks ago for two reasons. I used the technique inspired by Tim Holtz and his postage stamp stickers. I couldn't see ordering those when I have beautiful ones from a set called Autumn of Fairy Tales that I'd ordered from Spectrum Art Creations. You'll find them HERE, though the set I used is not shown.

So aside from Try It Tuesday video, these cards also work for the Spectrum Art Creations and Friends Facebook Group challenge this week to make something showcasing fairies. I also used fairy postcards purchased from their shop. (I believe these were Spectrum Art Creations aka SACs Originals)  The butterfly button was also purchased from one of their Saturday Live Sales.

I'll be back tomorrow to link up a Try It Tuesday video then hopefully for WOYWW on Wednesday.

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm still busting out the Card Chicks tub. Over he weekend I found the final kit that I'd sent. the packet wasn't in the tub so I figured rather than add the kit to the rest, I'd just make the cards.

I think some of the papers came from coordinating papers from the SAB catalog. I did include a piece of Crushed Cucumber cardstock I'd embossed with a Leaves & Branches EB folder from Sizzix.

Since I knew this was going to  by my last kit, I did several Stampin' Up! orders ahead of time to collect A FRIENDLY HELLO from the Sale A Bration catalog. We had one other SU dem in the group and she had one. Everyone else got a full stamp set to work with.

I used one Petal Pink card bas and one Crushed Cucumber. The mats were cut from dies as part of the Free As A Bird set.

I hope you enjoyed these. I'll be back tomorrow with either a #TagTuesday or a #TryItTuesday. I've not looked at my planner yet this morning.

MAKE IT MAIL IT MONDAY - Card Chicks Envelope

 Good afternoon, craft friends!

Sorry I'm coming late. I didn't clean up the filming/ crafting table yesterday afternoon after my #allthingsaltered video so had to get that out of the way before I could make today's card.

Today's card kit was courtesy of Debbie Bodenchuk to kick of Round 14 of the monthly card kit swap in 2021.

Debbie left us suddenly in 2023. We didn't chat much except through the group. She was always so busy with 4-H and her taxidermy business. I kidded her that when my Spirit kitty died, I'd be bring him to her.

Here's the kit she sent. Some are in pieces as I'd forgotten to photograph before I began working on my card:

There were two copies of the flamingo image (which I'd colored before photo) I had one cut and prepared to mat when I dropped an Mint Macaron ink spot just above the flamingo's back.

The kit included:
Image - Inkadinkado - Flamingo Fun
The papers were from The Paper Studio: Floral Cluster, Airy Polka Dot, Bella Bella rose

Here's the card:

I colored the image with Stampin' Up! Stamping Blends. The flamingo and mat were cut using Stampin' Up! Layering Ovals dies (retired). I used a sentiment from a Tim Holtz small talk stickers and the sentiment mat cut from Stampin' Up! Stitched Rectangles (retired)

I have several pieces of paper left over. From today, going forward I'll be turning the leftover papers in masterboards that I can later use in junk journals. Fibers and embellishments added to my stash.

I'll be back tomorrow with a video link for #TryItTuesday. I'll also be alternating Tuesday posts as #TryItTuesday and #TagTuesday

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY

 Good morning, crafty friends!

For my post today, I'm sharing the entire collection of cards I made from Madison's paper challenge. I made 14 cards using 3 different One Sheet Wonder layouts. I've already started mailing some of these. Was nice to have general sentiments handy.

Group 1 featured Petal Pink bases. The large petal flowers on the top left card were made from the Stampin' Up! 4-leaf clover punch. The card on the top right used one of the retires flower punches.

Group 2 featured Melon Mambo. Since the paper featured flowers, I used the Stampin' Up! medium daisy punch (retired).

Group 3 featured Tangerine Tango as a base. the floral border is Poppy Flower from Studio Light. The Shamrock punch was used as well as a swirl  embellished with black enamel dots and various sentiments from my stash.

That's it for me today. I am taking part in a 3-day on-line Junk Journal Retreat (even while Bob is home!) so will be squeezing in posts as I go.

MAKE IT MAIL IT

Good morning, crafty friends!

This post is going to be short today. I didn't sleep well last night, have a headache this morning and just want my pillow for a couple of hours before I start a full crafting day.

This is one of five cards from a One Sheet Wonder. I'm taking part in a challenge at Spectrum Art Creations & Friends FB group. Madison sent us three sheets of paper. (2) 6x6 and one was about 4x7. This is from the 4x7.

The challenge deadline is tomorrow night so I have several to finish as well as at least one more of Madi's challenges I've been wanting to do. I just need to see where what I want to make fits in with the challenge - right after my nap!

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY (photo heavy)

Good morning, crafty friends!

Remembering I had this post to write is the only thing that got me out of bed this morning. Earth Day 2024 and we started out with 32*F!!  I've heard it's what they call a 'blackberry winter'. Yep, mine are blooming. So are two of my Clematis. I'll have to check them after bit. Little Duckling hasn't bloomed yet but I'll need to walk out after bit and see how the other two fared.

A few weeks back, I showed a tub of misc. card kits from when I was part of the Card Chicks group. Every month, each of us would take turns sending a kit (standard sized envelope's worth) to every member of the group. For the next several months (yep, I have that many left to work on), I'm going to be pulling one envelope at a time and seeing what I can make from the leftovers.

This week's kit came from Terry Serman in Cranberry Twp. PA August 2020.

I know I made 1 card from the kit as there was a single sentiment cut out from that particular image sheet. Here's what was left in my kit:

Lots of happy colors to play with. In the back you'll see I selected some Stampin' Up! cardstock colors I thought would pair well. I did not use them all. They were Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry.

Let's take a look at the cards:

I started by cutting the larger of the pattern papers to 4" x 5" and matting that with black (to bring out the zebra a bit more). then mounted on a Crushed Curry card base. I fussy cut the sentiment from one of the pattern sheets then backed with Crushed Curry. I raised that up with dimensionals. The red ribbon was from my stash.

Card 2:

I used the balloon paper as is straight onto the Crushed Curry card base. Then I used a remnant of the pattern paper and glued that near the bottom. The sentiment is from a stamp set called One Liners.

The lion was fussy cut out. I matted him to a piece of Pool Party then Whisper White. The lion and the sentiment are both popped up with dimensionals.

Card 3:

This one I had to play with a bit more to get something I was happy with. The sentiment was from the kit. I punched it out with a scallop square punch then layered on whisper White. I used Stampin' Write markers to color the lion. He has dimensionals to pop him up from the Crushed Curry mat. The dots were from the kit.

Here's a product list from the kit of items I used:

Lion: Taylored Expressions Mane Event
Pattern Paper : Pebbles happy hooray, party animal, candy shoppe.
Balloons Paper: American Crafts Balloons
Enamel Dots: The Paper Shoppe

I did note this was the kit that introduced me to wobblers.

That's it for me today! I am working on our pantry the rest of the day before I get in a large grocery haul this week. With Bob retiring in less than 18 months, I'm on full out mode to stock the pantry with lots of shelf-stable foods we love.

I probably won't have another post until Wednesday then hopefully, a video link up on Friday.

MAKE IT-MAIL IT MONDAY - New Series

 Good morning, crafty friends!

No card today as I'm elbow deep in getting these stamp sets cataloged and in the new storage system before Bob comes home on Wednesday.

As I've told you, my #wordoftheyear is FINISH... I have a sterilite container in my studio full of envelopes containing remnants of Card Chick swaps.

Here's the container of envelopes:

The dimensions and full info is in the video:

Every Monday I'll be showing a kit then the card/cards/ masterboard I've created. I have no clue what is left in each envelope. Going to be FUN!

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY! - Catching Up On Cards

 Good morning, creative friends!

NOTE: I had this drafted to post February 26th but it never posted so I'm ahead of the game this week! LOL

I finally feel as if I'm back on track. You know, because we're almost through the first two months of the year!

My first goal was to get caught up on swap cards for the Missouri Stamp Group I belong to. I'm determined to stay on track this year. I was behind on December, January then this month so I have three cards to show you today.

All of the cards used the same technique: stenciling with my new 5x7 Geli plate. I don't remember who's video I first saw the idea but she was using her geli plate to HOLD her papers in place while she worked with them, NOT as a base for applying ink or paint. When I saw the video I immediately went in and ordered the 5x7 from Spectrum Art Creations. Keep in mind, I have a large one that hardly ever sees the light of day... twice, maybe, since I bought it almost 12 years ago.

All three stencils were purchased from Spectrum Art Creations. If they are still available, I will link them beneath the photo.

All the sentiments were from Tim Holtz - Noteworthy

You will find the video where I showed how I applied the backgrounds to all three cards HERE.
I started with the December card:

I started with a Real Red card base and mat for the sentiment. I used Real Red ink and a stencil from Ciao Bella.  I thought the image resembled a poinsettia.

For the January card, I went with a winter theme.

This was also a Ciao Bella stencil called Fluid Art. I used Uncharted Mariner ink, Seas Side Spray cardstock (SU retired) and a dual punch from SU (also retired)

Now that I'm caught up, here is the February Card of the Month (COTM):

I used a Powder Pink card base (retired Stampin' Up!), Picked Strawberry Distress Ink and a floral stencil from Spectrum Art Creations (Their own design). The heart is from the dual heart punch set from Stampin' Up!

I have all of my posts and videos for the rest of this month and into March as I get back on a posting track. The second and fourth Tuesday of each month I'll be taking part in #tryittuesday. I have the video uploading now to show you a tag book I created for the Spectrum Art Creations and Friends FB group - winter themed challenge. I'll drop the video link in here tomorrow morning.

MAKE IT- MAIL IT MONDAY! Plus Bonus items!

 Hi everyone!

I finally got to spend all day yesterday creating! Felt good to play with stuff again.

I took part in the TEA CHALLENGE in the Spectrum Art Creations FB group. Did you know, January is National Tea Month?

I chose mostly items from Stamperia to work with, predominately from their Alice line.

I rice paper sheet with four teapots from the Alice collection started it all... so I made 4 different items. Each piece enters me into a drawing for a $5 GC from the Spectrum Art Creations on-line store.

We were required to use a minimum of three items on each piece we made.

Since this is Make It - Mail It Monday, let's start with the card I made for a friend:

I used a Merry Merlot card base with a Very Vanilla mat (Stampin' Up!) then used one of the rice paper panels on top of the mat.  Aside from the rice paper, I used chip board elements from the Stamperia Alice collection and Stamperia lace.

Next item:

I've been making items during challenges and tucking them away for a future Alice journal.
This one used all Stamperia items (background paper, rice image, chipboard elements( plus I added a metal spoon I'd purchased from Spectrum Art Creations (SACs for short). The lace and ribbon were from my stash.

Next item:

I'll try to incorporate at least one memory dex card from each themed challenge, or at least one per month.
Thie background paper on here was from Ciao Bella. The rice paper and chip board items were Stamperia and the brown braid trim from the SACs on-line store. You will find the trim HERE in a wife variety of colors. I have most of them LOL

Next item:
For my final tag, I knew I wanted to incorporate a shaker element:

I used Stamperia paper for the background and the front rim of the shaker. I used trim and the metal spoon from Spectrum Art Creations. For the shaker part, I used snowball micro beads from Stampin' Up!  Guess you could say I made Bubble Tea ;-)

There's one more item not part of the Tea Challenge, but separate.

Madison owns Spectrum Art Creations. She is on the autism spectrum. Such a delight, very talented and smart. Wow, what a memory that girl has. Every once in awhile she will drop something in our shipping box for a 'Madison Challenge'. This time she gave us circles. I think there were five in the baggie.

At first I thought about a mixed media piece but then I remembered my craft Christmas tree. Most of the ornaments are from the Christmas Notebook ornament swap going back twenty years. I decided I wanted an ornament from Madison. She is sending me a copy of her handwriting. I will shrink tht and add it to one of the leaves of the ornament. Madison will always have a place of honor on my crafting tree.

That's it for me today. My left eye is giving me issues. May have gotten some cat dander in it.
I'll be back Wednesday for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and show off my new cat.

Creative Blessings!

MAKE IT MAIL IT MONDAY - Absent

 Good morning, friends.

I am sorry that there is no card today. I have been battling sinus' all weekend, trying to get stuff done AND get words written on the book.  I'm draggin' here LOL

I have to work through this. We are to have temps in the uppers 70s and DRY (which may account for my sinus issues) so my plan is to empty out the warehouse and start over as much as I can. I figure if I can get the crafting side organized then Bob can help with the trees when he gets home. We have several Christmas trees plus I have three Halloween trees that didn't even come out this year because I can't get to them.

I'll show before & after pictures.

I did get most of the work table cleared (you saw that last Wednesday). I'm hoping to finish that this week as well.... AND STILL put new words to the book.

So what I thought I would do is randomly pick a photo from a very early post. So I'll leave you with this card....

MAKE IT- MAIL IT MONDAY & #31DaysofOctober #OctoberDaily #MemoryDex

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I'm flying in on my trusty broom with LOTS of Treats for you this month!

First off, a quick apology. September turned into an 'unplanned' busy month. I spent two weekends back to back in Springfield. One for a sister day and planner weekend and another for a long 2-day visit with my daughter. We had not sat down and really visited in almost 10 years!!! We were way overdue and had a good time. Come back Wednesday for WOYWW and I'll share pics!

While October is going to be just as busy, with my HB90 planner and my Kanban board set up, I'm ready! I can conquer the world when I plan for it! LOL

Here is today's card:

You're going to see Halloween cards every week this month. I have lots of witchy goodness to share with friends!

This is a bridge card. I learned this super simple technique in the SACs Academy. What is SACs Academy? I'll link that video down below. Trust me... if you like to learn new things and play with products from all over the world - or just be inspired to use your own stash - SACs Academy is the place you want to be. There are lots of other perks, too.

You can see a video with all the information about SACs Academy HERE

The original class used an embossed panel for the center backdrop. After doing the sample, I pulled out my Midnight Tales from Graphic 45 and went to work. I upped the game by fussy cutting a second witch (I have 2 complete kits of this retired series) and popped her up on a wobble.. when I shake the card, she flies! This was also one of two entries I did for the G45 community FB group. They choose a random winner to receive $150 GC!!! Boy, I could spend that in a heart beat, couldn't you?

Today kicked off the #31 Days of Halloween on my YouTube Channel. Every afternoon around 5 p.m. EST, there will be a short video showcasing that day's Memory Dex card. While you're welcome to check out Day 1 Video, here is the Memory Dex card for today:

I was inspired by THIS pinterest item by Haley Marble of Marbles 3D Printshop

Day 2:

This TAG by becreativejs inspired today's card.

That's it for me today. I have lots to do tomorrow. I'm FINALLY getting stuff put in my Etsy shop! I'll let you know when things go live!

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY - It's Been A Week!

Good morning, everyone.

I'll try to get caught up in here tomorrow or Wednesday.

Bob came home on Wednesday, then we decided I'd spend the weekend in Springfield for a 'sister weekend' with my sole surviving sissy, Dona from Crazy Lady Creations. That meant getting videos through tomorrow recorded - six in total.

We met up with one of the crafty ladies from our junk journal group then spent the rest of the day in Springfield doing a little shopping, visiting an Antique Mall and enjoying an enormous dinner at the Smokin' Crab. The place is a bit expensive because the seafood is based on current market prices. For Bob and I it was a treat. My sister and I both love seafood and I knew no one in her family would ever take her so it was our day. We were on the go for twelve hours but it was an awesome day we'll both remember.

I have pictures on my phone to share with you guys, but don't have time to resize/ edit them this morning.  Probably a long post on Wednesday. I only have a couple of hours left at the hotel before I have to check out and need to finish up a planner project so the next of this quarter and all of the final quarter of 2023 run relatively smoothly.

I'll leave you with video links for now if you want to catch up:

Tag Tuesday - another tag for the journal - https://youtu.be/BpZnXkDRuYw

Color Challenge - Guest Checks - https://youtu.be/R-I4YQOaZL4

Finish It Friday - More Guest Checks - https://youtu.be/olRISTfmdBY

SACs Saturday - Wobblers! - https://youtu.be/U-UIYMPw0z0

I'll have a post tomorrow but probably mid-afternoon.

In the mean time, here is today's Make It Mail It video:

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

I feel like I'm finally making progress around here. From the entire multi-stack of paper pumpkin boxes I'm gradually getting through them.

Okay, so I just started yesterday with today's post... but hey, it's a start!

This kit was from December 2021 called LOTS OF PUN:

Here's a picture of the kit:

This kit is available on Ebay as of this posting.

I made all nine cards as instructed in the directions except for two. I switched them up a tiny bit to fit my needs. That's one of the great things about Paper Pumpkin. Their direction sheet is just a guide. Make them as they were designed or mix things up. You can always find alternative ways to use a kit by searching the kit name on YouTube.

Keep in mind, I'm not a PUN kind of person but these cards are really cute:

Here's the video for today:

Since we're working with new colors for the 3KCDSEPTJJ23 Color challenge, I'm hoping to dig into some of the kits to use items for both the #tagtuesday posts as well as journal elements. I hope you'll come back to see what I create. I'm always open your suggestions, so please leave a comment.

Which of these 3 cards were your favorite?

MAKE IT- MAIL IT Monday!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Okay, today was supposed to be a Memory Dex card. I'll be doubling up on the next go round. Between Bob being home, celebrating our anniversary then a bad hotel experience for me over the weekend, just wasn't in the 'cards'.

However, I did have four cards made up for the Mintay Challenge with Spectrum Art Creations so that's the video and pictures for today.

I had to use Mintay papers/ products purchased in July/ August. Earlier this month I purchased two 12x12 sheets from the Bird Song collection and two 12x12 sheets from the Secret Place collection. I kind of mixed and matched everything around.

I've already done 4 projects I'll show you on Friday. For now, here are the four cards I made. I needed some general Thinking of You kind of cards:

Each card began with a Soft Succulent card base and one of the journaling cards from the collection. I used a stamp from one of my Paper Pumpkin kits, added velvet ribbon and pearls from Stampin' Up!

If you want to see the walk through, here's the video:

I'll be back tomorrow with tags from left-overs.

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Today's project picture is not the best as it's a screen grab from my video. I filmed the video before leaving on Friday for a writer's weekend but failed to take a picture of the card. I'll try to remember to come back and replace it proper when I'm back home.

I'm still using products purchased from Spectrum Art Creations so I can get more entries in the monthly drawing challenge in the facebook group.

I was inspired by the Down Under sticker book from KaiserCraft. You will find the book HERE - and it's on SALE!

Here's the video so you can see how the card came together and a much clearer picture, overall:

MAKE IT- MAIL IT MONDAY

 Good morning everyone!

Spent a bit of time getting a couple of cards made for today before I totally empty out the filming corner. I'm tired of the disaster. I'm taking the studio one area at a time and working my way through.  I'll show pictures on Wednesday of the first mini-project I did on Sunday.

Before I get into today's card I want to talk about the Cardmaker's  Success Summit 2023 that will be going on the end of this month. I participated last year and had a blast. We even have a virtual crop... and it's all FREE! (Though if you want life-time access, you can purchase an express pass)

Each presenter has a link for you to sign up. This month on KellysCreativeDreams, we're all about Tiffany Solorio so unless you know someone else on the panel you normally work with, please sign up through Tiffany's link. I'm linking her INFORMATION VIDEO HERE and you'll find her sign-up link in her Description Box. Come join the fun!!!

Today, I played with Lindy's again. I know... surprise!  But I also added in older sets of Stampin' Up! Brushos and Sprinkles.

Here are the two cards then I'll tell you what I did.

You'll notice one is lighter than the other. That is because you will NEVER get the same look twice when working with these powders. That's part of the magic.

I mixed up the powders (Stampin' Up! Granny Apple Green) (Lindy's Magicals Forest Green from the Jingle Bells collection) with a few squirts of rubbing alcohol then dabbed the color on with a makeup sponge. You'll get a walk-through in the video below.

Then I layered a strip of varigated tweed patterned paper from my stash as well as the image in the center. I mounted the mat on a retired SU Emereld Envy card base from my stash.

I've been asked if I decorate the inside. I do, just usually when I'm ready to send it off so I decorated these with identical insides:

I used clear vellum stickers from The Paper Studios St. Patrick's Day packs.

Here's the video with the walk-through:

I'll be back on Wednesday with a way to get all that bling under control & a look at 'hopefully' the new and improved filming table!

MAKE IT - MAIL IT MONDAY - Let's Play with Lindy's Magicals!

 Good afternoon, friends.

Apologies for being late. I'm trying really hard NOT to come down with a spring cold. Sore throat yesterday so didn't really feel the creative vibe. I'm a bit better today.

For today's card, I was inspired by THIS one on Pinterest.  I knew I wanted to use the Detailed Hearts die (retired) from Stampin' Up! This is one of those dies I knew I needed but haven't used a single time since I bought it. There will be a lot of those coming up in makes this year.

I also knew I wanted to play with Lindy's Magicals.  If you've played with Ken Oliver powders or Stampin' Up! Color Bursts powders then you'll LOVE Lindy's. The pigmentation is sooooo intense and vibrant. Then add a little shimmer and you have the perfect new color medium to play with.

For the background, I used Alpine Ice Rose. I put a few sprinkles on my Tim Holtz glass mat then swirled with a bit of alcohol from my water brush. Alcohol dries quicker than water and since I'm on a time crunch, I wanted to give it a try. I just swirled with the alcohol then brushed across my watercolor paper cut to 4" x 5.25"

Then I worked directly on another piece of the 4" x 5.25" watercolor paper. I sprinkled on the Alpine Ice Rose and the Rudolph Nose Red (from the Jingle Bells collection), sprayed with water from my Tim Holtz mister bottle and swirled with the paint brush to spread everything around and break up the pigments faster. I didn't want a 'run' or 'drip' look. I wanted more concentrated intensity. Here's the paper after I'd already run through the die..

Then I ran the die through a sheet of Stampin' Up! Shimmer White cardstock. The picture below shows the die cut out and flipped over. I'm placing the Stampin' Up! mini dimensionals on the back of all the solid hearts.

After the dimensionals were in place, I added some liquid glue to the loose edges of some of the heart areas so they'd lay flat. Then flipped it over and adhered to the Lindy's color-washed mat. Then I punched out a few of the hearts from the Lindy's mat that I'd die cut and added dimensionals to a few of the hearts I punched out and placed them throughout the open hearts.

I mounted everything on a tent-folded card base of Flirty Flamingo (Stampin' Up!)

Here is the finished card:
