12 DAYS OF DIGIS - Collab

Good morning, everyone!

Beginning today, I am jumping to a new track from our normal routine.

For the next twelve days, I'm taking part in a collab between DearJulieJulie and CaraBrandonCreations. Each lady has created a 12 Days of Digis digital kit. Links are in the descriptiob box of the video as well as here below the video.

There are several of us elves helping with the collaboration.

Each day we will take that day's numbered page from Julie and from Cara, mesh them together into beautiful creations. By the end of Day 12 we'll have plenty of lovely embellishments to fill a journal. I am doing mine as a 2-page spread each day so that on Day 13, we'll be doing a walk-through of the completed journal!

Then on Day 15, I'll begin my December Junk Journal Challenge.

I do have the Pink Christmas that I still want to do but things got off track. I didn't get to work on things as I'd hoped while I was traveling.

Good news!

Kassie delivered beautiful twin girls on Saturday night between 11 and 11:30 p.m. Malina Ray came in first then Neomia Marie twenty minutes later. Everyone is doing well.

I have to brag on Kassie for just a moment. 9 months pregnant, due any day and this woman cooked her first ever Thanksgiving dinner for 6!  Talk about a can-do attitude!

Okay. here's the introduction to the #12daysofdigis2020:

Here are the links to the two kits:

FRIDAY FREEBIE - Junk Journal Organization

Good morning, crafty friends!

Thank you for your patience while I spent time with Kassie and Matt. I've enjoyed getting to know the man she has chosen to have her children with, as well as his three from a previous marriage. As you read/ watch this today I am on my way back home. I'm stopping tonight to totally unwind and hopefully work on my writing. I stayed an extra day at Kassie's but I still want to be home by Sunday so that Bob and I can celebrate Thanksgiving before he heads back out on the boat Tuesday.

Today's video is all about how I have decided to organize the supplies for each current junk journal project. I'm using the ScrapRack tote that I bought over 15 years ago when I first met Tiffany Spalding and fell in love with The ScrapRack system.

Bob filmed the flip-through for me so that we could get the camera up high enough for you to see everything. I hope you enjoy and are inspired.

TEN MINUTE TUESDAY - Life Is Beautiful!

 Good morning, crafters!

Quick post before I dive back in to working on my  novel. I'm at a hotel but need to check out in about 3 hours. Before I do, though, I want to get more words written as I won't have another chance until Thursday.

For this week's card, I'm using Life Is Beautiful. I finally decided I needed a bare tree stamp, This makes a perfect fall card as most of the leaves are gone from the trees here. I've listed the dimensions below the video.

SKETCH – SC283

MONTHLY CHALLENGE - Let's Make A Tassel

 Good morning, crafters!

Quick post this morning as I get ready to leave for a writer's retreat.

I made the first of the fifteen elements... a tassel.

I wanted to make ROUND  paper beads but the process was too long for a single video so I'll come back to that technique.

Instead, I made a chipboard, charm, a paper charm and a strung bead charm.  Here's the video.

I'll see you back here tomorrow for Ten Minute Tuesday.

SHOUT OUT SATURDAY - Mini Challenge in the Challenge #1

 Good morning, crafty friends!

We have another beautiful day in the Ozarks. Bob and a friend of ours is helping to get the new cover on the greenhouse, I've been doing some laundry.

Okay, I've been up since 4:30 LOL

I've finished the mini challenge, glued trim into the baby albums, put some stuff away, folded laundry, got loads of laundry in various stages and dry-canned twelve jars of baking soda. To say I'm ready for a nap at 10:15 a,m. is an understatement. Just not going to happen.

Last night when I filmed this video I had started on the 6 required elements for the Mini Challenge in the Challenge #1. Those are what I finished this morning and will be showing you those on Monday as well as making the tassel.

Here's the video:

I'll see you back here tomorrow for Stampin' Up! Sunday when we will be making Christmas cards.

FRIDAY FREEBIE - My Kit for the #nftjjc

 Hi everyone!

Coming in way late today. Since we were gone all day yesterday, I didn't get the video recorded until this morning. Of course, after my 'free' time on the bandwidth so this fifteen minute video took 5 hours!!!! yeah, I've been behind on recording all week. That's changing. I'm going to record tomorrow's video right after supper - if not before and have it ready to go at O-dark-thirty tomorrow as it should.

Here's a walk through of the items I'm using for my November Favorite Things Junk Journal Challenge:

I'm either doing the Mini Challenge #1 for tomorrow's video or one of the elements for the journal. I hope you'll come back and see!

DESIGN TEAM THURSDAY - Pink Christmas Card

 Good morning, Crafty friends!

Okay, I know it's almost 7 p.m. here in the Ozarks. I got up this morning, recorded the video then set it to upload but we had to take Bob's truck in to get some work done. Shopping trip ensued since we had to make the drive in to town (50 miles away) and I've been home about an hour.

So goes my life most days once Bob gets home. But that's okay, I'd rather have him home.

Here's the card I made for today. Apolozing for the shiny light on the left but best I had tonight.

I used Petal Pink cardstock and one of the large tag images from dearjuliejuie's Pink Christmas kit. Link is in the description box of the video.

Tomorrow, we need to prep the greenhouse for new plastic. But I should have a video up much earlier. I'll be showing off the 15 items I've chosen for my November Favorite Things Junk Journal Challenge. There's still plenty of time to play.  You'll find the details from Julie HERE

Until then...

Creative Blessings!

WOYWW #595

Last week, Margaret showed us a picture of a sign she had taken several years ago. The name on the sign reminded me of the name of a lake in Massachusetts. I heard the name on an episode of My Lottery Dream Home where I couple had won a $1 dollars and were looking for their 'dream home'. The prononuiation of the name took host David Bromstad the entire episode to finally get right.  Thanks for the memory, Margaret.

Here's the name.:  lake chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg

Bob will be home late this afternoon. I have tons to do.

I will try to get to as many desks as possible. One of things I've discovered I can do in the mornings while videos are uploading.

Here are my desks for this week:

Filming desk. Must be cleared to film videos this afternoon

Work Table. Remnants of the baby albums still there as well as leftovers from cutting Etsy packaging bag headers/ stickers/ address labels.
The box in the back center is a personal journaling project I'm back to working on.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

November Favorite Things Junk Journal Challenge Tips

  Good morning, crafty friends!

I know there's supposed to be a card today but I felt this video was more timely.

Julie has gained a lot of new members to the junk journal community. Many of them are coming into this month's challenge with questions. There's even some confusion amongst veteran members so I thought I'd do a video to help iron out some wrinkles so we can move forward with the challenge and have FUN!

If you're joining us, print out your Elements list - available in the monthly challenge FB group - a highlighter and let's get started playing!
