WOYWW #630

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Here is my desk in all it's glory. Actually, this is the aftermath of a haul video I filmed last night. I needed to re-record a haul video from a previous shipment of goodies from SpectrumArtCreations then bring in the box that just arrived in the mail yesterday. Lots of scrumptiousness to play with, don't you think?

I'm also sharing a video with you today. By request on my YouTube channel I am doing an organization series. But before I can show how I put stuff away, I have to do that task. So video 1 in the series is entitled ... The Ugly Truth.  If nothing else, my video will have you come to realize your space isn't so bad. LOL

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Julia and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Stamping Ground  for all the details. Miss Julia has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

CARD CHICKS - June

 Good morning, crafty friends!

yep.. as promised, I have a card for you today.

I'm about three months behind on the Card Chicks envelopes. Bob seems to be home every time they are due so you know my routine.

Today I'm showcasing a card made from the items from our June hostess, Debby. She kicked off Round 14 (wow!) of our card group.

Debby shared two images each of a flamingo, coconut palm and a crab - all from inkadinkado - Flamingo Fun. Here is a link to the set on ebay. - FLAMINGO FUN

She also provided papers from The Paper Studio as well as the die cut frame.  Here's what I came up with:

I used both of the crabs - coloring withLt. Poppy Parade (think I'd been happier if I'd used something closer to Pink Flamingo). I also used both of the coconut palms using Lt/ Dk Just jade as well as Lt/ Dk Soft Suede. I knotted a piece of the bakers twine she included for a bit of texture then printed my own sentiment using Kristen ITC in bold font. Edged the banner strip with Pink Flamingo and raised on mini dimensionals.

Tomorrow will be a quick shot of my desk as I get back into WOYWW.

I have a ton of projects I'm trying to catch up on so please be patient.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK! Really!!

 Good morning, crafty friends!

Life has just been nuts. I had 2 conferences the same weekend a couple of weeks ago - Thankfully on-line so I can go back and catch the recordings on one of them. Bob and I were busting tail to get garden beds done before he left.  Okay, to be honest, he built 99% of them while I was at a hotel for a writer's retreat and those two conferences. Now, I just need a little less humidity to get them filled and plants transfered out of pots. I finally got the zucchini in their bed one morning last week and they're doing fine... except where the deer are nipping off the tops.

If you'd like to see a video of the new garden beds on a budget, check out my first 'garden tour' video HERE

I've been asked to do an organization series on my YouTube channel so I decided the best way to do that was to showcase my own disaster and how I'm getting my studio back in shape. If you'd like to come along for the ride, check out the video below, subscribe to my channel and click the little bell so you'll know when new videos in the series go up. I'm planning to do them on Saturdays beginning July 9th until the room is done.

I've been making cards but most have been for the collabs I'm involved with on YouTube. You can always check out my channel to see what's going on.

I hope to be back here tomorrow with either a Color Challenge or a Teapot Challenge. I also have three (?) Card Chicks kits to catch up on. They're sitting here beside me - not lost on the worktable. ;-)

WOYWW #626

Good morning, everyone!

I do apologize for not getting round last week. You saw my lovely clean spot in prep for a 7-day collab with two youtubers, Dearjuliejulie and Cara Brandon Creations. I am on Julie's design team. The two of them had each created a set of seven digital pages and recruited about 15 'elves' to showcase the new kits. If you want to see some really creative people, search the hashtag -

#7dayssummerdigi2021

Each day we would take the Day 1 page from each kit and create items to help promote the kits.  That's seven days of creations with seven days worth of videos.  I'll leave a video down below of one of the days.

Aside from the 7-day collab, the end of the month brings three other videos to my channel. 24th - Reindeer Club, 25th - Smash that Small Paper Pad collab and the 31st (or 30th) Canned Paper Pumpkin collab.

In the mean time, this is the aftermath of seven full days of creativity:

The pile of fabric in the front were actually placed there from off the stool behind me so I could move the stool out of my way to take the picture without sending everything tumbling too the floor.

Here's a sample of what came from this disaster:

I need to finish the folio cover today. Tomorrow I'll put all the embellishments I've made into the folio and do a video flip through on my Finish It Friday video.

I'll leave you with this:e o

We've named one of these guys Nuts.. he's on the left. He loves his woodpecker cake. Mostly, just the black sunflower seeds. If that feeder is empty, Nuts will come up on the deck and rattle the lid on the feed bin.. , then hop up on the railing and look in the window to see if I've heard him. Oh, and Woody, my Nutthalls woodpecker is the cutest. If the feeder is empty, he will hang onto the side and call to me. Woody is one of four varieties of woodpeckers that come to my feeder.  Nope... even my wild critters aren't spoiled... MUCH.

A bit of info.. did you know that some varieties of woodpeckers, particularly the Nutthall and the Pileated, will only BACK DOWN a tree... making a sound similar to a large vehicle back up noise,
