WOYWW #870

 Good morning, crafty friends!

A quick post this morning. Sorry I missed last week. I know I promised BJ an explanation of my 'scrap rack' but that will have to wait until next week.

A couple of weeks ago I tripped and fell into the hand rail on our front deck, then bounced into the storm door with my right shoulder. The ribs on the left took a beating, bruising the entire left rib cage and cracking a couple of ribs. Healing ribs is a very slow process, complicated by my age and T1 diabetes. Thankfully, Bob is home to help with a lot of things. I've not done much the past three weeks.

I'll do my best to get 'round to everyone this week but time at the computer is limited.

Here is my desk as I left it two days ago:

I've moved slowly into a daily challenge called the Countdown to Valentine's Day. The creator, Tracie Hinds aka Nanner BaNanner, put together kits and sold in her Ko-Fi shop for $50. Each kit contained a blank journal of 16 pages along with envelopes, numbered 1-14. As Each envelope includes a handmade element from Tracie as well as a variety of 5-6 things to be used in the journal spread that day. I'll be showing my progress in short Friday videos. At present al I've managed is my tag for #tagtuesday you can see on the desk and covering the cracker box pieces I'm using for the cover. I hope to get caught up tomorrow.  NOTE: I came in too late to buy her box to participate so I'm winging it from my stash.

That's it for my desk (and story) this week. Who's Miss Sarah and why am I here?  When you are done visiting me in the Ozarks, please hop on over to Sarah’sCraft Shed for all the details. Miss Sarah has a long list of other studios you can peek into. No standing on an up-turned milk pail to look in the window. We open the doors wide and welcome you.  Please leave your number and you'll be among the first on my list.

Creative Blessings!

~ Kelly

  1. Oh Kelly, what a thing to do. I’m so sorry you had such a tumble and ribs are so slow and painful to heal. Sending you gentle hugs. Meanwhile it’s good to have a crafting challenge to enjoy, take it at your own pace.

  3. Sorry to hear about the fall, sounds nasty. It's probably a good thing that you were late joining in or you would have had to get the kit but now you will have to use up some of your own stuff, still I bet you would have loved the kit, know I would. What are we like! Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww. Hugs Angela x9x
